With Logan being a little suspect at championship level. I have been honestly expecting a new keeper to appear at the KP.

How about Karen Bardsley from team GB lol! ::emoticon-0116-evilg

I don't know about that, but I would have Steph Houghton ahead of Beckford.

What about Jack Butland from Team GB?

He'll go on to huge things, outstanding keeper for a lad his age.

There is no need for a new keeper. Should Kasper miss one of two games then Logan can cover. If Kasper misses more then we can go into the loan market for a keeper

Kasper didnt miss any league games last season and its not like Weale would have been a fantasic back up

Didn't he make a horrible mess of a goal-kick the other night? Robbed Team GB of a victory.

Don't forget, the loan window is not open all season. What if Kasper gets injured in late November?

You can loan keepers at any point in the season. Even prem clubs can loan keepers at any point

You can't loan keepers at any point in eyes of the FA.

But you can realistically submit an emergency loan for a goalkeeper but only if you show you desperately need one. Leeds did it for McCarthy last season

If something happened to Kasper then we can loan a keeper any time we want. We loaned keepers for fun during the League 1 season. David Martin, Mark Bunn, David Stockdale and Tony Warner all came in on loan

Yes, which is basically what I said. You have to submit to the FA why you are needing to loan a player outside of the transfer/loan window

I think Josh may be right in the sense that keepers are treated the same as other players - ie not available when the loan windows shut in late November and March - but if you can show you have absolutely no cover, you MAY be given special dispensation. Probably best not to rely on it though, especially as we do have Logan and Smith.

However, as of 2014, looks like this will all change.

We do need a new backup keeper - I have no faith in Logan and it looks like neither does NP as Kasper started all of the cup games as well last season.

As for emergency loans, only if you have only 1 senior keeper can you apply for one - note that when we did, Logan didn't start then either when he was fit as NP didn't trust him in L1.

Must be playing for crisps as I have no clue why else he is still here.

Butland is going to a Premier League club - Southampton have already bid over £6M and the likes of Liverpool are interested too.

They don't play sport. They have activites that may be considered physically enduring but sport involves men
