Just seen a quote from Pards saying Tiote is now 10x the player he was last season. (Holy ****)

He was awesome his first season. He had his bad points, but he was consistent and solid.

2nd season, he put in quite a few solid performances, but was 50% fit and carrying knocks for most games.

Now he's had time to recover, he looks beast. He did get a bit frustrated and put in a few questionable challenges vs Den Haag, but that's Tiote for you.

What I like about him now, is his reading of the game, and his ability to intercept passes and break down opposition moves has improved.

He's becoming a greater all round player.

On another note, I've been impressed with Marv since I saw him in his first game. He scored two tonight, he wins us penalties, his movement and passing are great.

He's exactly the sort of player we'll need.

Ober frustrates the **** out of me, but he quite often now plays a part in a good move. He's great running down the middles of the pitch, and his passing is pretty good. His crossing is ****, so we might as well try and play him down the center IMO.

I can see this in a match maybe -

    ---------Cisse-----------

    Marv-----Ober------Hatem

    ----Tiote-----Cabaye-----

Obertan running at the team, drawing them in, leaving space for our wingers, and him picking them out, whilst making a run into the box and occupying defenders.

His goal vs Blackburn was class. You'd have though a player that wasn't having a great time here, and getting stick from fans, would be bricking it, but he finished it so well. Apart from Cisse, Ba and Maybe HBA, I couldn't see anyone else making such a cool finish.

I can see Ober being our impact sub, either coming on for one of the front three when we're winning, to take advantage of tired legs in the defence and for counter-attacking, or coming on for Jonas/Tiote when we're losing or needing a win, and playing this kind of formation:

    ------------Cisse------------
    Ba-------Obertan--------HBA
    -----------Cabaye---------
    ------------Tiote----------

Then, if we still need a goal:

    --------Ba--------Cisse-------
    Marv-------Ober--------HBA
    -----------Cabaye------------

He could be a very useful player for us, but I'm not sure he's consistent enough to be starting regular games.

Ober scored a cracker tonight, it'll have done his confidence the world of good. I think we'll be seeing a better player this season.

I like your formation tash, but with Ba instead of Ober. Number 10 is supposedly his best position, so that deeper role could suit us perfectly, with Jonas and Marv rotating.

I read that quote Tash, on Sky Sports, I like to keep an eye on the future United players.

Unfortunately, you've misinterpreted the quote. He meant he's come back 10x better than last season in pre-season as he was poor after his summer holidays in comparison last year, hope that clears it up. Would be scary if that guy got 10x better, he bossed us last season at your Sports Arena it's surely only got to be so long before he's playing CL football for United! :)

That formation is not set in stone. It is one out of many possible formations. It is not the strongest formation, so no one should be crying about a player being left out this time.

It is nice when we have trouble fitting players like Ba or Guti into a team sheet.
