    Sunderland seek to invest more in Africa

    Dr.Sarpong and Ms Bryne

    Sunderland Football Club want to sign a lot of partnership deals with African sides, the club announced at the African Football Executive Conference.

    The English Premier League side have a deal with Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko

    Sunderland chief executive Margaret Byrne said: ”Sunderland want to become the people’s club in Africa.

    “The first step is making people aware of what a great football club we are, what we stand for and what we are about. It’s making people realise that there are more than just two or three clubs in the Premier League.”

    Personalities attending the African Football Executive are deputy sports minister Gert Oosthuizen, Safa chief executive Robin Petersen.

    Former director of international relations at Fifa Jerome Champagne, Fifa development office Ashford Mamelodi, SuperSport head of Africa Gary Rathbone.

    it's a nice move imo a lot of people over there love their football and now "maybe" they will start supporting sunderland instead of man u, arsenal, chelsea

    haha would def be up for that again marra was quality :)

    really hope they go to germany or even better here in holland but im not sure this year with us going to korea

    We have discovered a large oil field of the coast of Somalia, and are going to invite potential customers to come and have a look.
