What toys did everyone else have that you never got? Being from a rather poor inner city working class family I missed out on loads of top toys please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image
I had these when I was a kid... http://www.plaidstallions.com/denysfisher/cyborg.html ...and look what they're worth now... https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=cyborg and muton
Also, back in the 80's I bought... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Songs_the_Dead_Men_Sing by George RR Martin ...for a couple of quid now worth circa £800 I also had a 7" first edition (in sleeve) of Joy Division "Love Will Tear Us Apart". I daren't look what that's worth. A first print Jospeh Heller "Catch 22" (given to me) now lost. First edition Douglas Adams "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" . ...countless other stuff that I gave away or lost.
Keep most things long enough and they end up being worth a fortune. I am referring to consumables and not ER's toenail clipping collection. It's all about the original packaging but what sort of kid gets a new toy at Christmas and keeps the box? C.untish kids, that's who. I stuck my old Play Station down the charity shop the other week after clearing out the loft then Mrs Grove said she'd taken Grove Junior into CEX (yes, we are pikeys) for an X-box game and saw they were knocking the same consol out for £50 with the controllers.
Nothing wrong with CEX,last time I was in Gamestop they told me they wouldn't take my trade-ins so CEX all the way for me.
