I know you all got good memories for United defeats

Fergie said he never got a hiding like that

I thought Barca gave United two terrible hidings before last night
Also AC milan gave them a hiding in the san sire a coupke of years ago too 3 0 after united won 3 2 at home, Milan slaughtered them.
    Real slaughtered them with Ronaldo.

If I remember they have been on the end of quite a few hidings though Barca may be the best tey have faced, they are not the second best team in Europe, they came second in this tournament, two completely different things.
Real are better than United, Ronaldo 50+ goals, United don't even come close to Ream Madrid never mind Barca so wake up Fergie, won the league by default and a very handy run till you lost to the first good team you played in the final.

What was it Fergie that you knew you got wrong last time that seemed to elude you again last night, such arrogance that he says " I know what I got wrong" like it was his mistake and not Barca's brilliance and superiority that was yet again proven on the night, the arrogance and now the large helping of humble pie.

Not only were Barca far better but Guardiola tactically got it spot on even without puyol. He nullified Yernited's wingers, the only possible threat in the game as fergie went with a front 2 or 1 1 it meant the wingers had to pull infield to defend, making them less effective and not really suited to a midfield battle either and leaving Evra and Fabio exposed 1v1, or the Barca winger in plenty of space to get a into a run, they just weren't organised enough for the job, so thats gotta fall on Fergie. I imagine united fans were screaming at the telly last night, unitedss forwards didnt keep barca's defenders honest for most of the night.

Rooney just learned that sometimes being a forward means being around the centre circle making life hell for CBs on the ball helping out your midfield, last night he sold Carrick Park Valencia and Giggs out, Hernandez, you feel for the kid, just wasn't given a chance

It seems Alcie Alzheimers has selctive memory. How about 14th of February 2009 at Old Toilet. They were on the back of 13 clean sheets.Liverpool made Vidic and Ferdinand look like Titus Bramble and Michael Duberry. What was the score again?Man Yoo 1 Liverpool 4.If that wasn't a hiding I don't know what was.I can also recollect a few more from the 90s and before that.
    Chelsea 5 Man U 0.
    Newcastle 5 Man U 0.
    Man City 5 Man U 1.
    Man U 1.QPR 4.
Then old Baconface does spout verbal excretement by times,He said when we destroyed them at the theatre of debt that ''the better team lost''.Now explain that to me,If the team you are playing scores 4 goals and you score one goal, how in gods name did the better team lose.

they should have kept going with the golf club to make sure the fire was out. Fire was probably kept going with whiskey fumes

I know ther have been beatings but a mauling and well an education are two different things, a mauling you can get ona bad day and can reverse it next time you meet.

An education is where United turn up to play football but end up watching for 90minutes or so knowing that they cannot replicate what they are being shown as much as they would liek to, it was clear and definate evidence that you will never be anywhere near top dog while we are around, see you in 2 years for another lesson:)

United apparently needed to attend a second class, they done the first class 2 years ago and felt with lessons learned that they were ready for the advanced class held at wembley stadium last saturday.

I think they need another few lessons:)

Teams have thumped them but Milan 3 0 was a game where they were completely owned from start to finish, a team of oldies wiped the floor with United that night

They would have,I'll you why.Unlike Man United,Liverpool have midfielders that can tackle.Barcelona can only use the ball when they have it.So how do you stop them from having it....by tackling them aka winning back possession.Something Man United failed to do which resulted in their defeat.

The only reason Man United won the league is because they were allowed one extra player in their home games.Howard Webb gave them assistance.Their away form was poor because they could only use 11 players like everyone else.Howard Webb should have got a medal as he contributed more than Bebe did.

The leafgue table does indeed lie... Leaves are forever falling off trees and lying on the ground, although I'm not quite sure what the leafgue table is trying to represent, perhaps time taken for the leaves to fall? If so, who's the winner in that race, the one with the faster falling time or slowest?

Ferguson has never been much of a strategist and whenever he tries to be, he fails. He's a man manager and knows how to get the best out of the players he's got. Rafa is a strategist but lacks man management skills, Kenny is a bit of both at the moment.

He now knows he should've played Owen and Berbatov. I think Rooney had an inkling of what Fergie got wrong, like Ronaldo in 2009, but he got told to shut up and behave.

I imagine it's hard to scream through tears. Whimpers, more like. Something like, "Those bloody dirty Scousers will have a field day tomorrow. I'm phoning in sick. What an embarrassment. We've been found out. I blame the Glazers and if that Swarbs starts up how it's not their fault I'll swing for him, I swear on George Best's liver."

    Or something along those lines.

Ech. Cut his service and he's nothing. At least Rooney can create something; Hernandez is just a minesweeper.

    £50m - £35m = £15m profit.

And he scored more goals than Torres after the deal. Hahahahaha, we got paid £15m to take the most promising English striker in years and offload a crock. Poor us, boohoohoo.

We have a hsitory of where United has a hostory of losing to them.

And if you had botherd to ge clued in to the whole thread you would see that the general opinion is that Liverpool would have given a better account of themselves. The final was an epic fail as a contest and all concerned at united need to look at themselves for this failure instead of taking solace in, "they'd beat anyone" we know that, but United were beaten before a ball was kicked.
