Got onto HR about my wage staying the same since I passed college in June 09 even though I started working 5 days in the office instead of 4. They are giving me backpay of £3000, my increased monthly wage and overtime of £200 in my January pay <laugh>

Most of that is getting added to my £10000 deposit money to buy a house <ok>

When I stayed at home I gave them half my wage that they put in a high interest bond <ok> 5.5k in that has turned into about 6-6.5k, saved up 3.5k by myself over 4 years living away. The bird has been putting £600 a month into an account for the last 2 years so has about 14.5k as well.

At weekends now I work in the hospital instead of going out much <ok>

Saving is an art Nev ;)

I pay the rent in my house and the other two sort out bills. The leftovers are then paid to me in cash by those two and I divide that into 5 wee bags of £80 which is my allowance for each week of the month, the leftovers from that is kept in a locked tin with the key in another hidden location that nobody will ever find (no, not lodged up my arse) Every now and again I'll deposit that into the bank for a rainy day <ok>

The money left of my wage after rent & direct debits is saved along with the £50 per month already put into my bond through direct debit. That way I can still get pished at weekends and I dont need to worry about blowing all the cash in my pocket.

There you go, a crash course in saving. Next week, I'll explain how to sort your utility bills <ok>

<laugh> Money goes in my bank, then my bills come out. The rest I spend. **** savings, what's the point? I've go no debts at all apart from the student loan and I put nearly £12K a year into my pension anyway.

I've got about £200 in my bank right now and about £500 in small change in a tin at home. That's all the money I have in the world until I get paid on Friday.

When bankers don't have financial responsibility, I don't see why I should.

    Pension at £12k!

See I just don't the ****ing point in a pension.

Saving money up for when your too old to enjoy it?

I reckon I'll be dead by then anyway.

Though knowing my luck, I'll end up living to 110 and being ****ing skint and they'll have invented an age reversal procedure.

I can take the money out my pension when I leave the company I work for now. They'll match up to 10% of my wages so I put about £6K a year into it. We don't get stock options so the company has a decent pension plan. If I ever jack in the offshore I'll take all the money out the pension and **** off abroad for a few years.

This is why gambling is banned on most offshore platforms. Most of the folk just gamble away their wages out of boredom

Although they've got a poker school on here and the stakes were getting pretty high just before Christmas.

Nev, that can't be right. The £60 blue has put your balance lower.

    Explain that
