    According to sky during a piece on Moyes

    1.Man City = £419.9m
    2. Chelsea = £155.9m
    3.Liverpool = £83.2m
    4. Sunderland = £69.2m
    5. Villa = £68.4m
    6. Spurs = £66.7m
    --------------------------------
    15. Everton = £4m

    For us all I can say is OUCH, we really haven't seen much return on this and if it does include the sales of Bent and Henderson, even bigger OUCH.

    What it really does show is how good a job Moyes has done at Everton, he deserves better and I hope he gets the Spurs job.

    Ours will be Keane and Drummaville so you have Gordon Jones Chopra etc etc in ours.

    Its not like Moyes hasnt bought anyone in those 5 years though, selling lescott for 20 million helped massively, and he bought felliani for 20 million as well, and Yakubu for 12 million or something. (also selling rooney for 32 million helped even though its not counted in the last 5 years, but it helped in that season and the season after to bring good players in)

    Moyes is some boyo to be fair. Aye miserable reading for your lot. Villa too though. They've spent roughly the same and they nearly went down!

    I think you need to take into account that we were a championship team that needed a lot of players just to stay in the prem. The others were established and had good squads already.

    According to this:

    We're bottom with -£9.5m...Mike Ashley might be a bit of a twat at times but the man knows how to run a business!

    I suspect he's a bit of a twat ALL the time, but there's no doubting his business acumen :)

    Wow at Sunderland's outlay, no wonder Short is tightening the belt.
