I fear that Ki with the way he is playing this season may be the target for bigger clubs and that's what happens when you stand out in teams like us....I would be sad to lose him in the summer but accept he is earning his chance for a bigger club....the jack bastard..,
For that sort of price the board will be over the moon to let him go.......we really need to keep him for another season at least and build the team around him but we all know that should big money be offered then our board will sell and not bat an eye lid......we should not be thinking like that in our 5th year in the premiership next season.....
I fully agree Dai. But I fear this is the likely scenario should we bring in outside investors. In the summer, if we can find a version of Montero to play on the right, then we could have a very complete midfield with Montero, another winger, Ki, Cork and Gylfi. We need to keep our best players and push on next season again.
He wont go anywhere for the same price as Lallana, mainly due to Lallana's price being greatly exaggerated by being home-grown. £15-£18m is what I think we could realistically demand.
I am with this, I think if he was to do it again next season and keep getting a few goals it may be a bit tricky to keep him come the end of next season. I fully expect him to ge on the pitch come the first game of next season.
Every club sells in the premiership project if the deal suits. If Ki keeps on having a great season then it's unlikely we could keep him if a big club shows an interest in him, he is already making people stand up and take notice.....
You said we shouldn't be thinking like that because we have been in the Premier League five seasons, I'm just pointing out that has no bearing on if we sell players.

we should not be thinking like that but that's the fact of football im afraid for all clubs. even the top clubs have been forced to sell their top players from time to time and we will continue to sell if the price is right and the player gets a chance of playing for a bigger club....we can attract players too from lower level as we would be a step up to a higher level....
So who would it be? The only ones who could afford the price on is head are Chelsea, City, Utd, Arsenal. Liverpool might come sniffing, they usually do, but they'll be put off by price. The only foreign interest coming from Bayern Munich or Bayer Leverkusen maybe, simply don't see him playing in Spain. All conjecture but who else, Newcastle nope, West Ham nope, Tottenham maybe. I don't see him leaving to be honest especially if, as Valley suggested, he's made Captain next year, with Ash club captain.
Don't think they will for £10m, he's consistently been our best player this year and is getting better as he matures. He'll be at his peak for next three years, imo, so it would be a fools option to sell him when we should be building around him.
