    QPR boss reveals defender talks

NEIL Warnock has revealed QPR have opened talks with Clint Hill about a new contract.

The Rangers boss admitted last month that he thought the 33-year-old left-back had played his last game for the club after being shipped out on loan to Nottingham Forest.

However, Hill was recalled following an injury to Armand Traore, and has forced his way back into Warnock's plans.

“We're talking at the moment,” said Warnock. “In fact there are talks going on with a number of players at the moment, but nothing yet has been finalised.”

However, the 63-year-old insists reports that keeper Paddy Kenny was set to sign fresh terms were wide of the mark.

He added: “Paddy has two more years, so there will probably be no serious talks with him until the end of the season.”

Delighted for Clint is more capable than people credit him for, provides good cover in the squad.

Some U-Turn from COLIN. He does give his all and is a decent squad player to have.

Agreed, Swords. NW seemed to lose interest after Hill was sent off against Bolton. NW has rightly had second thoughts (Hall can go though)

Worth a contract if we're relegated, not sure otherwise, he's not a Prem player really.

Fair play to Warnock for admitting he was wrong, Hill clearly contributes behind the scenes as well...

He'll make a great coach. His attitude is spot on and he comes across as reasonably intelligent. However, I think after this season we should only be playing him when there's a lot of injuries/suspensions.

Def think that this is designed to get him on board and some coaching badges, can see the same thing happening with Derry.
