mmm...i don't think so...one of them can cover right back.
but he was saying next season with Europe, there will be plenty of chances for everyone to play.

I agree I think Ben has more than shown what he is capable of. If we progress to the group stages will need good back up players to rotate with though so its nice to have a someone of Taylor's class on the bench.

We will need strength in depth and, if Neil can discover his previous form, it will be like having a top new player. I can't wait to see who the new signings will be. Exciting times for us!!

I expect ML will do a fair bit of player rotation in the final run in so will expect Neil to play some games. Ben however must be up there for player of the season. As Ivor says we will need an in depth group of players all pushing themselves for a spot next season as we have to deal with the extra games. Exciting times indeed!

Ben has been great but I remember Walcott firmly planted in Neil's pocket. The biggest difference between the two IMHO is Neil's delivery into the box. Last season I couldn't help but notice that Neils crosses tended to split defences - the other question is how will Neil play with our newer approach where wingers are constantly coming inside.

It will be great for Neil to be back training with the squad but he has to realize and im sure he does that he has a fight on his hands. Ben has been fantastic and made the position of LB his own and Neil will have to do a stint in the reserves anyway and unless Ben gets injured then i cant see Neil getting a game in the first team this season unless a cameo part as a sub if the game is won....next season after the players we have still with us begin training will be his best bet to try and claim is position back of ben. It will all depends if laudrup is still with us anyway as they might have to impress a new boss, still its good that he has recovered but Ben is the No1 LB at the moment and is my young player of the season anywhere in the premiership....

It will not be long before Niel claims his position back, regardless of how good Ben has been!...............<ok>

Ben is still an apprentice, plenty of time yet for Ben, his time will come, and he's had a good taste of first team Premiership football, but Taylor has the experience of a seasoned pro!............<cheers>

Ben has played in the PL for a year , has international caps ,played in a major cup final at Wembley I'd say he's level pegging with Taylor imo

tailor is Ben's understudy now...we all know what Ben can do and do it well. neil is unknown now after his injury and long lay off....reserves only and a bench warmer if proven in the reserves...Ben's the No1 LB now...

neil has an up hill battle. if he can unseat ben at left back then we will have no doubt of the quality in that position. neil could also switch to right back, so rangel had better be on his best form also

As good as Ben has been, if Taylor gets back to his form before he got injured he'll be our first choice. Its easy to forget how good players were when others fill in and do well, but let's not forget Taylor was being mentioned with top clubs in the summer

Taylor at his best probably edges it for me but I doubt he will find top form until he's played quite a few games. This is not to criticise young Ben who I think has been superb for us and can only get better. Tremendous prospect!

And it's a tremendous prospect for us as well, having two young full backs with their ability. They will be needed with the glut of fixtures that we will face next season. A master-stroke of selection by Michael Laudrup who saw Ben's potential and persevered to bring him to his present standard.

If Ben continues to make progress, what will he be worth in a couple of seasons time? £5 million? £10 million? It feels really great to be so blase about such figures. What a time to be a Jack!!

I also think Taylor has what it takes to take his place back as 1st choice... ...But still happy with the dilemma...

Is tailor better than ben???? I cant see where by....he use to have too many off days for me and gave away penalties now and again...His temperament can be questioned also, Ben is a far better level headed LB than tailor imo..
