Neil Danns will miss 4 games through his suspension so thats half whats left of the season. Just as he was starting to get some form going. It 4 games instead of 3 because he has already been sent off this season so he gets an extra match. Discipline is one area we have struggle this season and Danns is the main culprit with 8 yellows and 2 reds. Also Andy King is back in the team for tommorow so weather they are rushing him back or he would of been back anyway who knows. Wellens is a doubt for tommorow so it leaves us with Danny Drinkwater as our only fit midfielder. King might be able to do 20-30 mins at the end but i cant see him starting. So if Wellens doesnt make it Sol Bamba will probably go into the midfield. Nigel did say last week he tried to sign 2 midfielders on loan but he couldnt get them done it time. So in the summer with Wellens under performing we will need some new midfielders. There is quite a few decent ones aswell Nick Powell from Crewe has attracted alot of interest, Liam Trotter at Millwall aswell has got clubs looking at him but Nigel will have his targets.
get nick powell and i will be over the moon. Not sure if he is ready yet but the best prospect i have seen in a long long time.
Yeah he does look some prospect. Alot of very good players have come from Crewe aswell. We can buy him and if Nigel felt he wasnt ready yet we could loan him out but he is the type of player Nigel likes
Where have the rumours for Powell come from? From what i've heard he sounds quite the talent. EDIT: and Liam Trotter is EXACTLY the player we need if we're going to continue the 4-2-3-1 we tried on Saturday.
from on where, just a fan speculating. A england regular i am sure, cant believe more people dont want him. Looks more promising than oxlade-camberlain before he moved to arsenal i feel. Bulk him up a bit and he is a real star.
Get him in by all means then. but surely the top clubs will be interested? Maybe get him in quick for cheap and sell him on for mega bucks when he's nurtured a bit.
