Then he wonders why so many fans want him gone! - http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3462082/Pulis-amazed-at-Hammers-plight.html
I think there is nothing wrong with bigging up the opposition, if they have played well then why not? It just shows he's fair and not Mr Alex "we were the better team, other team got lucky" Ferguson?
To be fair Jub Pulis does over hype the opposition, if I was the opposition it would give me a lift, if I was a Stoke player it would piss me off and not fill me with confidence.
Pulis big's the opposition up every bleedin game. Even before we played Brighton he was saying that they are a decent side. My point is this kind of negativity must surely rub off on the players and he always sounds defeated before a ball is even kicked. Truth of the matter is he has no balls and doesn't line his side up to have a go and this bigging the opposition up is the prelude to us getting turned over and him justifying it!
I said this a while back re T.P. Always saying, they are playing well, have good player's all over the pitch, etc etc. And, I havn't even bothered to read the link posted above! Surly, this must not help anyone? Least of all the player's it can only have a negative effect. He's always done it Waddo and it ***** me off every time. There is respecting the opposition fair enough. But IF I was T.P. I would be telling every man jack of that starting 11 on Sunday. " Go out there and show OUR fans HOW good you ARE" " Because I KNOW how good you are" POSITIVE attitude makes a BIG difference in life, not just in sport. If T.P. doesn't know that much, what the heck is he trying to say/prove?? Imagine Sir Alex before a UEFA Cup Final saying to his team." They are better than us so, do your'e best" F F Sake he wouldn't simple as.
To be honest this doesn't bother me, as I see it as just mind games. TP will be motivating our players telling them it's just hype, trying to lure them into a false sense of security thing. Anything that makes the other team over confidant has to work in our favour.
