I've just been quite busy this summer, and I didn't really agree with a lot of the points people seemed to have on here about last season. For one, I think Allen needs to be replaced (even if it's a cardboard cutout), Balotelli isn't as bad as everyone makes out, Rodgers is unlikely to utilize his strongest squad, etc. Just haven't had the time to argue these points properly

I'm back now, hopefully will be posting more. My posts have dropped dramatically since the board switched over to this format, I think. It seems a little cluttered and I much preferred the old one.


As for the game, it was a brilliant match. Scored early on, then our left back was skinned alive, letting in two goals. This meant we had to score two to go through, thanks to away goals. In the second half, we got a penalty and their defender got a red. Missed the penalty, but scored shortly after. Then a brilliant finish by Zivkovic and an injury time goal sealed it. High octane stuff, we're facing BATE Borisov next - if we win the tie, we're in the CL group stages. Where we'll be battered but still a fun winter for the fans.

 

Close season is always a bit dull so you haven't missed much, if anything! I liked the old format better as well but you soon get used to the new one, the more you use it.
