I was keen to get down to the beach at low tide this morning but couldn't rouse the troops. About an hour ago we just got round to giving the house a vigorous clean up, so with the domestics nearly done I might succeed in getting everyone out. At the moment YouTube and Robuck$ seem to be winning as me and my wife get the place back in order, At this rate I'll be taking the dog out myself again.

As for the 'things' in general? Saturday just doesn't feel like a Saturday today.

Work. My business is completely set up to be remote, and my mrs is away on a hen party for the weekend. I would go to the tip (my favourite place on earth) but I can't be arsed. Did the garden on Sunday last week too so I'm at a bit of a loose end. Might walk up to Whitemare Pool and buy some bottles of windscreen wash and tungsten tip screws.

    Never gonna use 'em.

Went into the village for a few groceries and to have a look at the chickens we're having as soon as I've built the hen house.

There's a notice in the square saying tomorrow's vide grenier is cancelled. It's a French tradition whereby each village, in turn, hosts a street sale where people empty their attics and is an early form of recycling. The fact that such a minor event is cancelled says how much panic has set in

This afternoon I'll be mowing the meadow, shame cos it's so beautiful with all the spring flowers ...

Sat in my apartment bored as **** with no sport on the telly and not allowed outside until Tuesday. Trying to find something decent to watch on the box, the news is depressing and getting worse and Spanish TV is 5hite.
At least I don't have to spend nearly 2 hours being tortured following the Lads game and reading the meltdown on RTG lol.

It's funny you should say that, my daughter was in our local Aldi and she said all the shelves were bare except for the tat in the middle isles that every man spends half the day looking at.

Deep cleaned the fridge and freezer. Replaced the lock on the garage door. Now watching the Halifax match.

It's getting to the point whereby I'll have to hitch the topper up to the tractor which is a right pain ...

... after your comment I decided to give it another few days <laugh>

It's amazing how beneficial this could be for us all.

Yesterday I dug out my mandolin that I never really learned to play ...

... and found the disc with my half completed novel.

With no football, and no real prospect of any, that's freed up a huge chunk of empty heed space <laugh>

What will you lot do with yours?
