The point being, i'm suprised to see Neds name mentioned. Just seemed an interesting article. Maybe total rubbish, but they are the names that seem to be un-wanted at city..Ned?

.
Manchester City face the prospect of a £30million wage bill next season for players that manager Roberto Mancini no longer wants.

Mancini is desperate to ditch Emmanuel Adebayor, Craig Bellamy, Roque Santa Cruz, Wayne Bridge, Shaun Wright-Phillips, Jo and Nedum Onuoha from his first-team squad, but has found his plans hamstrung by the astronomical salaries that players are banking at Eastlands. City are ready to take huge losses on a group of players recruited by former boss Mark Hughes who cost the club a staggering £85m in transfer fees alone.

But so far there have been no takers, with clubs unwilling to meet either City’s cut-price valuations or the big-money deals currently being paid at Eastlands.

Adebayor, who cost £25m when he arrived from Arsenal two seasons ago on a deal worth £130,000-a-week, is being touted around Europe for £14m.

The striker is refusing to contemplate a move to Zenit St Petersburg, while Marseille want City to slash their asking price and subsidise his wages.

Bridge and Bellamy, who cost a combined figure of £24m, are both on £90,000 a week, while £18m misfit Roque Santa Cruz, who earns slightly less, is wanted back at Backburn only if he slashes his £80,000-a-week earnings.

Jo, the Brazilian signed for an initial £6m in a deal that would have cost City £12m more if it had been a success, is also surplus to requirements as are homegrown pair Wright-Phillips and Onuhoa.

The salaries of unwanted players add up to a mindblowing £550,000-a-week – or close to £30m over the course of a season without bonuses.

Now that's a whole lot of wasted money and talented footballers...

I think he could end up here, Bruce is on record saying he wanted him but City wanted to much, that price may well drop.

I read somewhere a few days ago that he was surplus to requirement's, but want's to fight for his place, to get back in the side/squad.

Assuming from that above mentioned he want's to try and stay at Citeh.

Game of bluff and double bluff.
The longer we leave it either ned or city become desperate and drop demands. If we get him we get him for what its worth to us. If we dont get him move on.

What he said, make a realistic offer based on his worth to us, eventually they'll have to sell him time to stop being a soft touch in the transfer market.

Perhaps moving back to the beautiful countryside of suburban Manchester from the dank slum tinpot town of Sunderland has increased his resolve to fight for his place?

Good one mate from a bloke who glorifies an England "B" International, I go to Manchester a lot and the only countryside round there is great if you like grey buildings and crap.
Have a nice day you fool.

This.

I must admit, whenever I have visited Manchester or 'Drug laden Gunchester' as it should be better known, with its drab, colourless grimy streets, and dark satanic mills, it it has always left me grateful that I dont live in the beautiful County Durham landscape, with the magnificent picturesque and historic City of Durham on my doorstep. I wonder how simply awful it must be be to live within a 30 mins drive from the stunning countryside of Durham and Northumberland and a 20 mins car ride form some gorgeous golden sanded beaches at Roker and South Shields.

Wait a minute. I do live there though. Bloody hell, must get my galoshes and rain mack on and move back to the Manc slums?

Yeah I can see your logic behind that because everyone loves Manchester don't they?

''but I’m never going back to Manchester, not even on holiday, not for anything.''
''The weather, everything. Manchester has nothing''

Carlos sure loves that beautiful countryside!!!:emoticon-0103-cool:

My daughter went to Uni there.
My opinion - Manchester is the pits

Dictionary definition (for PaulPowersLeftFoot)

" Babylon English
(Slang) this is the worst possible thing, it's the worst possible place "

I think Ned would love to come, but we don't (rightly) want to pay ridiculous wages. C'mon Ned. Be sensible. Come and play football. Who knows? The italian t**t might even come up here and see you and give you a game foe England!

Manchester is a bit of a ****hole, I went there for the first time about a month ago to see Pink Floyd, I'd much rather prefer the beautiful North-Eastern countryside any day!

Seeing Johnny Arab's wallet bleed is actually quite funny.

Getting Ned would be great, but not at any price...
