Looks like he knows the general position of the goals. May be very useful if his move comes off. Make a few wide men play for their places at least.

John Goossens is currently negotiating with Swansea City regarding a transfer in January.

NEC and the Premier League club reached an agreement on a January transfer for the left wing.

This suggests Feyenoord just missed out on the 23-year-old player.

He therefore will jouin ex Utrecht goalkeeper Michel Vorm.

Goossens contract expires in the summer, NEC decided to sell in January in order to obtain a fee for former Ajax player.

From what i can understand (very little Dutch) it seems they want some sort of fee for him in Jan as he is out of contract in the summer, therefore i cant see a loan deal being the way NEC want this to happen.

Some pretty tasty strikes there mainly with his left foot but the first one on the clip was an absolute screamer with his right. Shades of Ferrie Bodde? He showed great awareness, a lot of skill and I like the look of him.

NEC Nijmegen technical director Carlos Aalbers admits he has mixed feelings over midfielder John Goossens' proposed move to Swansea in January.

.Reports suggest the 23-year-old is poised to join the Premier League club in next month's transfer window after the two sides agreed a fee.

Goossens is out of contract at NEC at the end of the season and the Eredivisie outfit did not want to risk losing him on a free transfer in the summer.

After the Dutchman spurned the club's offer of a contract extension, Aalbers admits selling him for a reasonable price is the next best option.

But the technical chief admits the club will miss the midfielder's talent, telling Omroep Gelderland: "It's a consideration between business and football.

"As technical manager it's a shame but if we sell him now we will receive a transfer fee. At the end of the season we won't.

"We have tried to extend the deal with John, but he was not interested, so this is the best solution for the club.

"Of course it's hard, as we will miss a fantastic player."

We have nobdody on the team that is a real threat scoring from distance and this is a real handicap. If this guy can find the gear to play in the Prem and reproduce that shooting from distance then we might have helped resolve that and given us a dead-ball specialist.

Well that first clip had me salivating, he can certainly strike a ball. If we can get him on board, then I would be very happy.

This boy looks like the missing piece to me !! he looks awesome! now compare him with dobbie and decide which one you would like playing off the striker. This shows the type of player needed to improve us, and it also highlights how poor and under strength we are in certain positions.

Dont know if we will get him, his wages will probably be an issue but if he is looking for a stepping stone club then this will be the perfect place for him for a few seasons ;)
