The councils particularly Durham we aren’t on the Government’s watch list and they have asked for lockdown
**** I had no idea!! Why lockdown for minimal cases? Surely the government will laugh at that? Although knowing this government anything’s possible!!
a few rubber ducks on the locals pub roof should be a suitable substitute, and a few black lives matter t shirts just in case.
Who? Edit, seen you are mentioning the councils, do you not think its the people who are not following the guidelines fault?
Anyone who's concerned covid infection rates when outside are tiny, if this is a spike is almost certainly down to eat out to help out ie people mixing indoors. That and pubs, also indoors.
So my duo has just secured gigs fir Saturday and Sunday night and now the councils are locking us down again? Fir ****s sake man!
There had definitely been an increase in admissions in North Tees before I started my week off. Hopefully just a little bump and nothing more though and it'll be back down to virtually none when I go back next week
On the same day someone was tested positive in the local working mens club Consett football club won the FA vase semi final at home (5th sep). Crowd were going on as normal when they scored jumping about and hugging each other. Jeff Brown on Look North even said "not a lot of social distancing going on there" when it cut back to the studio. That night police broke up a gathering of 200 youths attempting to have a rave behind the football ground (nothing to do with club). I believe they have set up a mobile test unit at/near the ground. Cases are rising but hospital admissions and deaths are not probably because they are currently rising in the younger population who are less likley to be seriously ill. Once that gets transfered to the older population I suspect that will be a whole different ball game.
That’s my take on it up to now. Personally I can’t see a second spike being like the first mainly due to partial herd immunity. I hope not anyway.
