I suppose hanging on to them in the hope we got fees was pointless, but I hope the club withhold registrations pending the legal action so the pair of ****s can’t wander off and sign as free agents elsewhere.
Great news, but I am surprised that other clubs/chairmen have not come out in support of the action that our club has taken against these oxygen thieves. Poor show IMO.
They’ll be watching with interest. I’m not aware of any other clubs with players AWOL to be fair mate. I’d imagine privately there’s a lot of support.
Think the club statement mentions legal action for any future fees etc the club has accepted Didier Ndong’s repudiatory breaches of contract and notice of the same has been provided to the player. Sunderland AFC does so whilst retaining the right to pursue the player and any club he may subsequently join in relation to compensation for the value of the player
I bloody love this hope our lads stay strong right to the end and can rely on fans to chuck some money in if necessary.
Wouldn't they have to be free agents before the transfer window closed to be able to sign for anyone else?
I thought their registration had to be free before the window shut so we’d have had to sack them before the transfer window in whichever country they playin closed. Nit certain but thought that’s how it was. They’re technically nit free agents if we withhold their registration mind!
I understand that the legal options include going after any club that signs them, on the basis that they would have paid less than they would normally, but for the actions of the player. Don't know if we have to sue the player first though...?
I will stand by and proudly watch if our club sets a precedent a-la-Bosman for players thinking they can get away with the way they’ve acted. Also, their agents have brought themselves to the forefront and this will get tossed in to the FA etc looking at forcing players to pay their agents. These 2 bang average footballers may well have started a path to knock many of the far more talented ones just a little bit of the gravy train, now can you imagine either of these being welcomed by other players at any club in the world if they’ve done that. I believe our owners have nailed this and will go all the way with it, and what we’ve seen as disrespect to our club may well become a part of a far bigger thing that’s actually good for football. Players have gone on strike etc to force moves for years, never has a club stood firm like we have, I’m fascinated to see how it pans out. Massive, massive credit to Don and Met for saying a big fat ‘**** you’ to these 2 ****cunts.
I am buying a 18 match season card now lads, £6 per match saving and no mercenaries in sight !. I am frigged how Rodwell got away with it though, away the lads we are the best team in this league and bring them all on. Let's all show them who is the biggest team outside the premier league. To think the miners who risked their lives before these weaklings came to be playing football makes me puke.
Interesting also that PFA seem to be keeping their neb out as well. Expected Taylor to slam the club as he hasn’t been in spotlight for a while.
I don't really know what I was expecting from the Authorities over this issue but the silence from both the FA and PFA has been absolutely deafening. Our club has been left to get on with it themselves so no surprise there then.
