Heard rumours that with his contract in the summer, PL is an interested party and has entered an inquiry. Thoughts?
Running out of time if we are going to sign anyone. Not too fussed though as we have a decent squad already and you have to pay silly money in January as highlighted by the ludicrous Carroll and Torres deals.
Nice Cheshire. I wonder whether Lambert had a couple of names in mind, and wasn't going to look beyond them. If bids for Bennett, etc, were turned down, maybe Lambert has decided to save the cash for the summer, where it'll probably buy better players. January does seem to have inflated some fees doesn't it? Lambert has been pretty astute with signings so far, so maybe he's decided to save the cash rather than rashly spending it on someone he's not sure about. As w-l-o-h said, we've got a decent squad, now just to extract everything out of them and make the Prem. As an aside, do you think the lack of activity might be an indication that McNally's decided not to really go all out this season? Maybe bide our time this year if things don't work out, and really go for it next season?
