Liverpool have confirmed Nathan Eccleston has joined Rochdale on loan. The striker has signed a month-long deal with the League One side. Eccleston has made nine appearances for Liverpool's first team, with the last coming in a goalless Europa League draw with FC Utrecht at Anfield in December 2010. The Liverpool forward moved to Gigg Lane in September and has made four appearances for the Shakers so far, scoring one goal. Amoo joined the Reds from Millwall in 2007 and has made one first-team appearance, which came in a Europa League qualifier with FK Rabotnicki in July 2010. both should really be sold. eccleston is quick and direct but needs 5 chances to score and he's got an attitude. Amoo has real pace and power for his age but he's just got his head down running blind alleys. just my opinion but they can make careers fro themselves by moving on and we can keep the younger guys moving up.... like morgan.
I think Adam Morgan will overtake them both with regards to be being a better player and I also expect both to move on.
Amoo seems like one of those lads that was faster and stronger than the rest and that made him stand out of the youngsters but as everyone catches up the flaws in his technique show, not to say he wont get better though.
well where there's life theres hope as they say. I'm kind of glad the opinion i formed about them is similar to others so I'm not mad. I said on another thread before that morgan is the better finisher by far, but lacks the pace that eccleston has. Overall i think that the only guy on pure raw talent thats made anywhere near the firsts is robinson actually.... we've seen guys like pacheco etc just not make it cos they don't seem to get that that bit extra is needed in terms of pure effort. I think spearing gets that btw, i think coady gets it, i don't think suso gets it. The only guy currently in the reserve set up i see really breaking into our first team under the new regime (money) is sterling and thats purely on pace and skill. Flanagan was actually a suprise to me as i liked him a lot but was really pleasently suprised to see how he reacted last year to the games.
