Arsenal have apparently told City he is available for 22M. If that's the case should we not just go for him? I mean I know his wage demands would be higher than Luka but the transfer fee is virtually half of what tottenham want for a player of the same calibre in my opinion. I mean I really do want Luka at Chelsea but it's getting silly, they are demanding he is not for sale and we are going to have to pay something stupid to bring him here.

Nasri is better in my view, particularly in the final 3rd where we would need him..I've been saying we should go for him for weeks.

Alas the club don't seem interested.

Agreed, there was a small rumour before AVB came we were going to make a bid, but that appears to have faded. 22m is an absolute bargain IMO.

It's the same story as with other options. Modric is a good player but when you look and see that Sneijder is set to move for near enough the same amount, and Nasri is set to go for £10m less... It always seems to me that we never have the bottle to take a punt on a player that's "unproven" anymore, yet we shell out £30m on Shevchenko and it looks like Torres could be headed down the same road too @£50m! I remember watching Flo and Poyet et al and marvelling at how much of a bargain they were... I was hoping we would get Kevin De Bruyne but that's gone off the boil; Thiago Alcantara from Barca was an option that we missed. I just wish we would sign someone and watch them turn into a star

Know what you mean, it can be so frustrating. Hopefully we can make something of Josh and Romelu

It could all be a smoke screen...all of the noise has been focussed on us going in for Modric, while we have incidentally signed three players with real promise almost behind the scenes<ok>

We would be stupid not to bid for Nasri...if they'll sell to City, they'll sell to us...

Agreed and I think Nasri would come to us as well.

1 quality midfielder and I think we would have done some good business this window. (De bruyne would be nice as well though!)

I really hope that is true haha!

The news of Roberto travelling to Stuttgart to watch the Germany v Brazil game is promising, hopefully it was to keep an eye on Neymar. agree with De Bruyne aswell.
