Attached are 2 charts. One shows the number of tipsters participating each month; the other shows the number of naps each month.
I am always happy to run competitions for as long as they remain popular. For this particular competition, I have said that I will only record naps that are logged in the Naps for the Day threads; the reason being, it is easier for each person to copy one selection into a separate thread than it is for one person to pick them all out from the Daily threads.
The whole purpose of competitions is for your enjoyment and itâs only natural that some will run their course longer than others. I think that, given the statistics in the charts and the fact that some naps have appeared in the Daily Racing threads that have not made their way to the Naps for the Day threads, clearly the interest in the Naps League is not what it was.
I therefore propose to end this particular competition at the end of December. If anyone would like to continue the running of the competition, maybe picking up the naps from the Daily Racing threads please feel free to do so. Thank you for showing an interest in the competition, particularly those who have continued to participate despite its decline.
We arenât doing too badly for competitions. We have the Ten to Follow, and The Cheltenham ante-post. I am very pleased to see that Cyc has started a League based competition and I quite like the novel idea (suggested by someone) of a multiple bet type of competition based around Blue's experimental system. Iâm not sure when the next major meeting is but I will continue to run these (might need reminding sometimes). If anyone has any further ideas for competitions please add them below or start a new thread as you wish. As I have said before, I am more than willing to help with, or take on, the running of a competition; you only need to ask.
