    I see that the Jills have a new sponsor for Priestfield, a local company so probably not a lot of money BUT would you be happy for the Valley to be sponsored?

    So you wouldn't want to end up with a better chance of being promoted then ?

    It would take a decent offer - not tens of thousands but hundreds if not a million

    Pride gets you nowhere

    Are we really in a position if someone offers us £1m a season to add their name to the ground to say no

    Dick, we only get about between £100k and £200k per season for shirt sponsorship, we wouldn't get £1m per season for sponsorship of the Valley. Best between £50k and £100k I would guess, but that could pay the wages for a good loan player for a season.

    Really ... oh ok

    Well something is better than nothing isn't it

    Maybe it's a small amount now but if we go up it will increase won't it

    Just don't think we can afford to completely discount this as an idea

    Would look in to double shirt sponsorship first- could have different sponsors for different kits. Or you could have sponsor on your shorts and on your shirt. Or go completely crazy like some of the South American teams and have 5 to one shirt!
