I just did this online quiz - and it stinks. I have since remonstrated with them as I don't think it's accurate. See how you guys get on, I'll be interested (I got 5/21 ) http://www.buzzfeed.com/paulcurry/and-another#.bmrQxawKX
I typed them all in at once. I think if you type, say 'city' and leave it a second, it's OK as it gives it time to register.
Mystery solved! Have to say, can't believe some of the obvious ones I missed. Couldn't take the pressure of the clock!
But did you notice they're claiming two that I don't think are suffixes at all. Can't say too much in case it spoils it for the myriads of canary fans queuing up to have a go But one is near Stoke and the other one is near Charlton. Ish.
Well done, bloody impressive. I've seen / heard it mentioned in pub conversations before, but in those versions, the two I mentioned (alluded to) in #5 were not included. It would be like saying Lynn is a 'suffix' of King's Lynn. Rubbish Bah!
Only got 9/21 but when they revealed the remaining answers noticed they missed one out - "Ham" (as in West Ham) They put in Albion ( as in West Bromich Albion, but there was no Ham for West Ham
It's flawed, skewed, I tell you The part of Birmingham is called West Bromwich, so Albion is a football suffix (nickname), whereas West Ham is a borough / part of London. As is Crystal Palace, which is why I didn't think it would be included as a valid answer { again!}
I know what you mean. I have two small granddaughters, and have been subjected to that for months! Midway through a recent birthday party, Anna turned up in full costume (I'm not entirely convinced it was really her) and started singing that damn song!
