GJ - LJ. The 1 signing that killed us (and Marv). But for a father's love that Runt was unemployable - retired at 31 - what a fuc**ng joke. Other signings were terrible ie McInnes and Jody Morris but at least McInnes didn't play Morris or drop Scottish Internationals, play Champions League players on the left wing just to accommodate probably the weakest player ever to pull a red shirt on.

GJ; Dean Gerken, Lewin Nyatanga, Liam Fontaine, Lee Trundle A motley selection of bench warmers, has beens and do not want to put any effort in. PS; And GJ has never been my favourite manager despite getting us promotion. Nothing to do with his ability, I just do not like him.
Very very harsh Gerken doesn't/shouldn't never come in the same category as the players mentioned. Fonts has had 1 bad season in 7 so I don't think he deserves to be in it either.
Gerken has played 100 games in four seasons; Poor value for the wages paid. I have not seen Fonts play well since McCombe left. A total disaster for the last three seasons. Nyatanga, yes played reasonably since January but a bench fixture for three and half years. Poor value for the wages paid. Trundle; what a joke. He did not want to be here, only left Swansea, because he wanted a big pay day. £1 million is good value? NO. Selling him to us for £1 million is why Swansea are in the Premier and why we're looking forward to League One.

You have all forgotten one little piece of information that required this thread to start, and that is that our BOARD appointed ALL the managers and the BOARD allowed them to sign ALL the players you have mentioned. Except possibly for David James. So if you want my opinion of the name and shame game then the first prize has to go to the BOARD.
Cost next to nothing,, put in real shifts with Little ability and had the odd good game and a stormer at port vale after which city never looked back and were promoted the next season. Then there is Marcus Stewart!!!
