Rafial Nadal has just announced he will miss the AO due to "illness". Sad to see Nadal missing so many important matches in recent times, I hope he is soon back on the circuit - he is missed.
Totally agree. Great player, competitor and gentleman. The sooner he is back the better for tennis. However, I don't think his missing the AO has that much effact on either himself or the competition overall. Coming back just after a long injury layoff I would not have expected him to seriously challenge for this year's AO - semi-finals at best. I think he has said that his aim is to be fully fit and ready for the French Open. He should still be able to do this regardless of missing the AO.
