As Arsene said, playing Stoke in his first game must have been one hell of a culture shock for him, but he coped well by the sounds of it. Really happy with this signing.
As above have stated. Stoke would have been a big shock and he coped well with the intensity. He's only going to improve. Looks a good signing.
Apparently his boots only arrived from Spain, two hours before KO. Talk about being thrown in at the deep end. He gave a really good account of himself today. I think he would be first choice against teams who have strong wingers and Gibbs first choice where there is more room on the flanks for us.
Considering he'd only had one training session with his team mates I thought he slotted in seamlessly and looks like a very good LB, a position we have needed filling properly since Cashley went to the Chavs! Overall I thought defensively it was a lot more solid than recent week's, not that the thug opposition put us under too much pressure.
Arsenal look better defense today. They were not stretched at all. Stoke played like many teams play and in the past those teams have created chances on the break but not today. I think Nacho man will be a big help to Arsenal.
