Fair Play to Naby Sarr, over the last few games and especially today it looks like we could finally have a player on our hands. He still needs to improve his distribution, especially when passing across the Back 4, but his tackling and heading are excellent, and not many wingers are going to fancy coming up against that man mountain in his current form.
We paid something like £2mil for him, he'll need to carry on improving for a while to not be a dud signing. He's reportedly one of our highest earners too. He's played fairly well these last 2 games though, he's certainly quick, tall and can time a slide tackle. IMO he has such a poor reputation because of the song, he only played something like 7 or 8 times in our relegation season and just looked mediocre, never as bad as people suggest.
I concede that if Naby Sarr helps us to promotion, he will be at least partly making up for not being able to do anything to help us avoid crashing out of the Championship two years ago, and everything he has had out of the Club since then without being of any practical use whatsoever. That will be more than we got back out of several other wastes of space in the 2015-16 squad.
