Just read this article and what a refreshing attitude following on from CH nearly always 'bigging up' the opposition. Yes, I know we're now in the Championship and should go into games expecting to win them!!!! http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...from_trips_to_cardiff_and_brentford_1_3768318 You can also find links to other articles on the page as well.
I read that yesterday and agree with his stance. A safety first approach is a recipe for survival not success in this game. You might need to take a more sanguine approach in the Prem due to the strength of the opposition you face week in week out, but down here in the Championship you need to go for it every time without being silly. Clubs needn't fear others in this division - anyone can beat anyone with the right tactics. I hate this "parking the bus" stuff that we experienced last season.
Of which Cardiff and Norwich were the two main protagonists Malky's tactics, in the game between our two sides at Carrow Road, to 'park the bus' well before half time still haunt some of us! Hopefully an open, attractive game today with plenty of incident / goals and all three points heading back up the M4
I just hope the fear of losing doesn't spoil the game. If Adams is sincere in what he says about going for the win, and I've got no reason to doubt him, we could have a cracker of a game on our hands. I think Ole has got something to prove and today is the perfect stage for him to get it right. The right selection of players available to both managers should produce a classic. Strangely enough though, if Ole does go for a more conservative selection by playing 5 in midfield to counter your expertise in that area of the park rather than going for 2 up front, most of us would actually welcome that. It's a question of which area of the pitch we decide to play in. Holding a deep line and "repelling boarders" all the time is not the answer. Our man up front would be hung out to dry like Campbell was last season and he'd need to be supported by teammates a bit nearer than 40 yards from him as was very often the case last year. We need to play far further up the pitch off a higher line, and this is what I expect Manga and Morrison to set out. Our two wingbacks Brayford and Fabio have the pace to get up and down the wings to give width so there's no excuse for sitting back and inviting you on. FFS, we're the bloody home side so we should go for it.
Pace in our defence is probably our biggest (Only?) weakness. Olsson is quick but Russ, Turner and Whits take a while to get going.
