So, Pearson said in his interview that after ashbees transfer request we have had a bid rejected for an unnamed midfielder. He then said the bid will most probably be increased. So, any ideas who it might be??
John Eustace is very much in the Ashbee mould if he is looking for a like for like. Don't think it will be him though. Just throwing a name in
Olifinjana for me too if we are able to get duffen, bartlett or cardiff to contribute to his salary. The worry is that it is another young promising junior from the prem. All of a sudden we are looking very inexperienced and weak in depth.
Do we need another midfielder? We have plenty of cover for Ash. Surely NP's priority is to bring in a tall defensive player and or a left back. Gerrard was non commital when asked if he would like to stay. Probably not wanting to burn his boats at Cardiff
i think our defense if fine, the strikers are fine, but theres a gaping hole in the middle of it, koren needs to be in the centre or he's lost, hes far more effective inside, id like a marney type player but with better passing, someone to get the ball between the defenders and the strikers. harpers not got the legs or passing ability to properly link up the two, hes good at the short passes but we need through balls etc, koren could but hes played out wide.
richard hughes or brown from pompey maybe....sure they carnt play no more coz it would trigger a clause in contract....left out i should say
what about a wide player then as ash is going we could move Koren into the middle. I think that would really balance the team out
a left sided midfielder would be wonderful, do we even have a natural left mid on the books? id love to play a natural 442 with devitt on the right and a new guy on the left with koren/belaid and harper/evans in the centre.
sounds good to me. I just don't see the point in another central mid. but maybe big nige does and if so then fair play. I'd love to see a good old winger come in. Someone like hunt who has a go at the back four. Commons would have been great at ÃÆÃââââ¬à ¡ÃÆââ¬Å¡Ãâã300,000
Walsh has been earning his money this month and done himself proud. Whoever we sign you can rest assured he'll get us the right player with the squad shaping nicely now
That'd be my guess because we were rumoured to be interested in him before. Have you heard that from anywhere decent or is it just a guess?
