Did anyone else get the same idea as I did when I first read this? I know I'm indulging a bit, but sure you have to some times. http://www.wsc.co.uk/wsc-daily/1149-july-2012/8891-mystery-surrounds-celtic-nation-s-spending-spree
But seriously - why is someone buying League 1 players and bringing them down 7 leagues to play in a tiny border town with a population not much bigger than Parkhead's capacity? Even if you do manage to buy your way into the English football league, you still only have a tiny local population with the potential to become supporters of your new club. It doesn't make sense for an investment point of view, unless it is some crazy Brooks Mileson type of character - or someone with some other sort of plan...
I suppose when/if they start shooting up the leagues they could apply for a move to another town but maybe not. Carslile is a very good location in which to base a succesful football team, lots of Scots live there and it has good transport links from Glasgow. Less than 100 miles.
