tenacity, guile, quality passing, solid at the back, not words or phrases usually associated with rangers recently but today we had it in bundles.the commentary team on fox said we are a flea market team, well just goes to show what you can get if you shop wisely lol.

not really a single weak link in that team in my view as we played as a unit, went forward together and defended together.some dodgy moments but all teams have them otherwise no-one would win games.
Faurlin and Granero look mouth watering in the middle, because they can both tackle, pass with ease and cover every blade of grass.Park is better suited to the wide role it would seem and also covered a lot of ground should have buried that header though.
Zamora and AJ looked very good together up front and it was a shame we lost the latter as he was looking sharp.Zamora held the ball up well and ran himself dead today, some people beguile him but he works like a trojan for the team.
Bossingwa looked very good today in both defence and attack as did Onouha after Fabio went off.
my man of the match award goes to Ryan Nelson who was as solid as a rock and had Torres in his pocket all day, closely followed by Faurlin.all in all a vast improvement today and bodes very well for the future.

Thanks ade. Am in Cephalonia (don't be jealous as 48 hrs thunderstorms at present!) so relying on texts from son at game. BBC said they had two penalty shouts?? Also said Bobby missed what might have been a clincher at the end??

Really good point and we must now maintain that level of play against West Ham, Saints, Norwich at LR, Swans away and hopefully LIverpool, Tottenham and many other teams too.

Fom the sounds of things, Hughes has found his back four (except against Man U) at last.

they had 2 shouts for pens but neither was a stone waller to be fair to the ref who got most decisions spot on.bobby should have scored but so should have park so not nailing one player for a miss.

Good report Ade, agree with every word EXCEPT I'd give MoM to Granero (but then that's down to opinion and he is my favourite player). Not to take anything away from Nelsen mind, he was fantastically strong and IMO should be captain.

Cerny, out of curiosity, you mentioned a drink today for a lad called Harrington who died.I presumed he was a Rangers supporter from your post. How come the Chelsea supporters had a banner in his memory ??

They had what looked like a pen which was a foul by SWP, but we also had a pen in the 1st half right at the start. It was a few yards right in front of me.

Good assessment and totally agree with the Nelsen and Faurlin, 1, 2.

Yep, fabio taken out. First reaction was pen but would like to see again. Thought Ramirez could have had a red with a nasty tackle after his yellow. Surprised no one has mentioned Ferdinand off the ball elbow in Torres! (accidental I believe!).
    All in all magnificent effort!

My MOTM was Faurlin closely followed by Nelson and Granero.

2 footed and from behind, he could have gone as well.

I never saw the elbow but Torres was in a right strop all game, he was getting some right old treatment and didnt like it. The ref didnt blow for anything in a 15 min period in the 1st half. It was like a 90s game. The ref was pretty fair too, I thought it was a pen for both sides. I dont mind both or neither being given but it annoys me when only 1 is and they are the same foul.

Agree with ref, did ok with some feisty play and missed things both ways which levelled out overall. The 'elbow' left Torres crumpled in the loft / SA Road corner in second half.
If it was genuine he deserved it for throwing himself around all game and then sulking. If I was a Chelsea fan I'd be cheesed off with him for sulking and then stripping straight down the tunnel!

Agree with this post with a couple of additions. I think Faurlin edged it for me. He RAN the game today. Covered all - talked all the time - told Cesar when to hold / kick - ran the defence and the midfield. I wish we had bought a Berbatov today - would have killed the scum - too often our midfiled had control but they had no one running to pass the ball to. Agree Nelson kept Torres out of the game. My mate said he looked like Macca at the back of the defence - solid.

My fav bit today was the technical ability on show. This is the best team technically that I have ever seen in 30+ years of QPR fandom. They passed their way out of trouble and put in hard tackles. The back 8 were outstanding. We looked like a team.

Couple of other credit. Cesar - our keeper - OMG!!!! two amazing top drawer saves - you just felt nothing was going to get past the guy - he too ran the back four. IT was like we had a confident bunch of professionals - Cesar looked like he was captain - so the Faurlin - So did Park - so did Nelson. As for our new kid from Real Madrid - the guys is class - tackled HARD - passes sweet - Adel eat your heart out - shoots - has speed - confronts - did a number on lampard several times - intecepted passes through rapid accedleration - took the ball off the scum again and again - like some interceptor - not sure he is as confident going forward but boy did we look solid - after about 60 mins - I actually relaxed and started to think we might beat the European Champions who have won every game this season. Pinch me.

    Happy day!

Funniest moment was when JT did a back pass that looked as if he had torn his cruciate - normally the crowd would wince or show sympathy - he flagged for Cech to throw the ball out the entire SA Road stand stood up and abused him in unison. So funny.

Can we play the scum every week please.

    Two more things..

We would have won if Zamora had not been so selfish and had passed the ball to Cisse - he beat Cech with 3 mins or so to go and then wanted the glory and messed up - Cisse was unmarked and would have tapped the ball in - he is a finished if nothing else. I know strikers want to go for goal - but is it a team sport or not. You only get a few chances in a game like this. I remember Adel beating the whole Palace team 3 years ago and only the keeper to beat to score a great goal at the end of an amazing run past players and he passed it to Mackie who was unmarked - we loved Adel that day. I hope Hughes tears a strip off Zamora.

I know some others posted have said SWP was out weak link today - I have slaggged hi off before - today was the best game he has played for us. Ran his heart out - did clever things - tackled - took players on - looked like the player we all hoped we had bought last season - with confidence - he could be another rising star for us this year os would ask the boo trolls to lay off him and let him get his head up - we all gain.

So are you saying you don't know ?? It was pretty hard to missit cos it was hanging from the front of the upper tier at the start of the game. Maybe it was for someone else but I'm sure it said Harrington. Anybody else see it or was it my imagination ?

**** me Cerny you're a bit tetchy tonight. I only asked a civil question as I was curious about it. Take a chill pill fella

If there is anyone who knows why Chelsea fans had a banner up for a Rangers fan then please tell me. It's not important just I'm really curious, thanks gents.
