Actually think we will win against West Brom and can only see Wigan getting 4 points ( draw Swansea, lose Arsenal ,win Villa), Villa getting no more (lose to both Chelsea and Wigan, although a win for them there would be nice)and Newcastle getting 1 tops (draw with QPR and lose to Arsenal). No real reason to why I think that, (hope and trying to be positive more than anything!) I am not a fan of Hughton, 2 wins in 19, have concerns about the Board about not acting sooner...etc but going to put all of that to one side and focus on Sunday. Whatever happens I will be there next season as we all will as we love our club.OTBC!
Not worth a separate thread, but here are writer Gary Gowers thoughts on the match/situation in general. As usual he makes many points with which it's hard to disagree. http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter...tys-season-sleepwalks-into-a-chilling-finale/
Yep, proper cup final next weekend. 3 points more should be enough, any less than that and we're firmly reliant on other results. I could yet see it coming down to the last game of the season, with us and Newcastle battling to concede fewest goals against Man City and Arsenal respectively.
I really don't think 3 points will be any sort of guarantee, I think whoever is ahead between us an Newcastle following the end of the next game will be safe. For the first time this season I genuinely think we will be the team relegated. We certainly deserve it.
Great. Hopefully it gives you a warm, fuzzy feeling inside and thanks for your wonderful insight and positivity.
And thank you for neglecting repeatedly or just plainly not accepting what you've seen over the last few months. It must give you a warm fuzzy feeling to lie to yourself over and over during that time. You tell me who's the more insightful? the one with his head in the sand or the one that actually looks around and sees it for what it is and comments on it. Don't talk to me about insight.
Carrabuh, your insight is often pretty dreadful because you are so dogmatic. You would be a lot more interesting and convincing if you were just a fraction more flexible in your views. As it is, you just bang the same drum at an ever increasing crescendo and just because your broken clock happens to be correct at this time of day with Hughton, you have taken it upon yourself to be insufferably smug. It really does look like you are enjoying us going down. Warm and fuzzy indeed.
I'm not here to keep you interested Rob (although I have to say, you more than anyone seems to react to anything I say more than anyone). And certainly don't have to be flexible, conviction is a part of my charm. If you really object, why don't you write one of your 8 paragraph responses that no one will read. Stick some chapters in, a contents page, you'll love it. In fact, instead of obsessing with me, why don't you actually write about your own opinion rather than as a response to myself. Make a few bold choices, you may enjoy it even more. I'll pretend to read it in the morning.
A little contradictory - you want my opinion, yet you don't want me to write anything substantial. Which would you prefer? I'm afraid my opinion just happens to be a little more complex than yours because I try and make it functional. I've written my opinion plenty much on here. I comment on lots of posts, the world doesn't revolve around you, you know? My only real issue is you're so hit and miss yet utterly incapable of admitting you might have made a mistake. Sometimes you say something that appears insightful, then you say something so astronomically wrong that you lose all credibility. Like your complete lack of knowledge about Hooper. I suspect you're just profoundly insecure, which is fine, lots of people are, but then you go for the petty digs like above and come across as immature too. Oh actually I do have another problem- you enjoying us being in trouble.
Rob and DM - I think Carrabuh has called this one correctly throughout and Saturday proved his key point. CH has not improved the defence, he has merely added numerically to the defence. When we have to open up to try to score, as we had to on Saturday, our defence is almost as porous as ever. Yes, a marginal improvement perhaps, but at the cost of all of our attacking strength. Holt would have buried that header in stoppage time if it had happened last season. Why didn't he? Because he's forgotten what it's like to be in that position. Hughton has failed and we have gone backwards this season. Full stop.
