It was ****. Loved how Pearson put his mate Barmby on instead of Simpson. Good call Hobbs is a complete waste of space. Cairney played well, but of course he can pass so he'll only ever be a "luxury player". What did Pearson find so hilarious on Sky Sports? The fact he still has a job?
Barmby was good, Hobbs was good; he and Chester were probably our best players. Fryatt and Simpson are to blame tonight. Absolute ****e from the men who are going to score our goals this year.
No idea how you've come to that conclusion. Hobbs was **** (as he always has been) and Barmby was nonexistent, he managed to miss his usual sitters, but apart from that, not a lot.
agreed, although took a bit to settle and start beating men tonight, first game though so it was expected. I also have to agree with percy, I was suprised he opted for Barmby over Simpson at that point in the game.
Oh come on TWF, Barmby didn't have any sitters. He had 1 good chance during his 45 mins, gave it all but couldn't reach it.
Cairney is a good passer you are correct, unfortunately 5 good passes and a decent freekick across 90 minutes isn't enough to justify a place in the team. Also FYI, your obsession with Pearson is now far more boring than one of his interviews.
are you sure you wouldn't be happier supporting someone else? agree that Barmby coming on so early surprised me but he most certainly wasn't **** and i seem to remember Simpson having trouble hitting a cow's arse with a Banjo. i felt the whole team showed alot of promise. Cairney looked committed and eager to prove himself. all the new lads showed alot of promise and i hope we try to sign Brady. a bit of optimism and some composure and we'll bounce back.
The finishing made it a disappoiting night, had we put those chances away we'd have won and be looking back on a good result. We can't be as wasteful a that again. Barmby on rather than Simpson was strange, but he put the effort in as you always get with Nick. I don't get where you get this 'best pal' relationship with NP and Barmby, he's got on well with all managers here who he ahs played under and his experience makes him a valued member of the team. If they were best pals, wouldn't he be starting? Jury is out on Hobbs, did ok but not brilliant. We can judge him after another few games, it's the first game of the season for crying out loud. Cairney did have a good game, but if was a luxury player then why start ahead of Evans (also a passing midfielder in my book) Didn't see the interview so can't comment, but it's not like Brownie ever had a chuckle or came out with cliches in a post match interview. Bet you were just waiting for a chance to start a Pearson out campaign? We lost one game ffs, it's a long season so stop sharpening your axe! To even think of sacking him after the first game is foolhardy.
Percy watched the match on TV, try going to the KC and you might get a better perspective of what football is all about. It is easy to watch on TV or listen to it on the radio like you obviously do,try joining the fans at the ground instead of being a knob on your computer, there you go you finally got to me with your predictable drivel against the club. Support it or fook off to Leeds you cretin. I will agree that Pearson made mistake of bringing on Barmby instead of Simpson tho.
Agreed Percival! Same old s**t from last season. I was hoping to be proven wrong with my opinion ofthe transfer dealings this summer but one game in I've seen nothing to change my mind. Hobbs as captain? HAHA! Blue-eyed boy right there. If we sign Ayala Chester will be moved or dropped which would be a disgrace.
The only disgrace I've seen tonight is a load of judgemental idiots talking **** about a game they probably didn't go to on here
What usual sitter did Barmby miss, Percy? If you're talking to the one where Brady ran down the right and whipped in a great ball but nobody could get on the end of it then you're an even bigger tool than i thought. Barmby was the only one busting a gut to get in the box. You've an irrational hatred.
What is the logic behind this "Barmby coming was a mistake, should have been Simpson" nonsense. They both came on with a job to do, Simpson simply had to finish the one chance he got and he fluffed it, Barmby had the much more complex job of creating space and starting attacks which he did well, and yet people are complaining that Barmby was on and Simpson should have had longer instead?
We lost, didn't play too well and had appalling tactics. What did you expect? Get out of cloud cuckoo land, back in the real world, and just admit we aren't good enough. Honestly, it'll make you feel better.
The other thing, what if people didn't go to the game, they still saw everything on telly. You might miss a bit of positioning and whatnot, but you still see the majority of the game and can make a reasoned judgement. Just some people think we were ****e tonight doesn't make them L**ds fans.
