First of all I was delighted with the turnout and I do hope they collected lots of donations for the poor little boy It shows that AR has got the interests of the people of Leeds can you imagine Bates Cellino getting involved not on your life. The man can do no wrong for me we just have to have patience it will turn round soon Now to the game Wilder is such an astute coach the way he has brought out the very best in Sharp why didn't we do this Sharp thanks to Pennington looked like Messi I blame Pennington for ball watching for the first goal then he misplaced a pass which was brilliantly saved by Lonegren who to my mind was our MOM I also blame both Pennington and Ayling and perhaps TC who should have told the players young David Brooks what a prospect he his BTW is very one footed so don't let him get on his left which we did of course Ayling was to far away from Pennington who needed help as he just couldn't cope completely out of his depth and this will have been noted by Rowett when he visits us on Tuesday so I would had Shaughnessy and Janson as CB ALIOSKI NEEDS TO STAY on his feet and try and beat a defender then pass into spaces for Lasonga to finish off Saiz had a good game lets hope Klitch starts to show us his worth.I am fed up of people saying TC out it becomes boring they never say who would replace him I have noticed that! Give TC a decent run give him time to settle in Revie when he became manager almost got us relegated into the third division can you imagine if the idiots had got their way and wanted him out now where would we be Finally Wilder met him many years ago as a young full back never thought that one day he could be a great coach .He will get them promotion no doubt and ot won't have cost them anything as he goes tom Aldi to buy his players! £50000 for Clayton Donaldson for a start that's what you call a bargain no wonder Brum got rid of Harry!
I did a job for one of the Northampton Town directors, it was a few weeks after Northampton Town had snapped up Wilder from Oxford. I was chatting to the director about the club and how poor we had been and about the capture of Wilder, my disbelief of taking a manager from a team who were sitting around 5th in the table for a team in the relegation zone. When Wilder first joined we still were not great, the director told me that there were lots of niggling injury concerns and that come the following season they expect great things from Wilder and the squad, he said you have got to give him (or any new manager) 6 months to settle in. After a few weeks Northampton slowly pulled out of the relegation zone and finished half way, the following season it was like waching a new team, the majority of the players were the same but the style of attacking football was great. After promotion Sheffield came knocking, although nobody wanted him to leave the Town knew they had no chance of holding on to him. Great guy, well liked here in Northampton and capable of getting the very best out of bang average players. I agree TC needs more time put there are a few doubts and issues creeping into my head, for example the constant asking for players to be booked by Saiz and Alioski, I would like that stamped out but when you see TC doing the same to the third official you ask yourself where do the players get it from.
Ristac makes a great point regarding managers. Remember last season many were questioning Man City for bringing in Pep, results were crap performances shicking...... Man City now playing like Barcelona, unplayable at times and now clear favourites for the league. Radz told us all he was employing Tommy to get into the top 6, its as simple as that. He will stick with Tommy until it becomes impossible for us to do it and so he should. We can all argue about player stats and performances but makes no difference as its all subjective and personal views. I may say a player is crap but the manager sees him in training, knows what he can do, gives him instructions.... it will be the manager who lives or dies on results. He was big enough to bring in Lonegran, brought Viera back, gave Sacko another go, smart enough to bring in Phillips in place of Klich. He bow needs to deal with showing Grot & Cibicki how to score goals, give some decent balls for Lassoga to get onto, keep Alioski on his feet and stop him going for a worldy instead of passing. Know when to rest certain players but get a settled starting 11
