Why I dont think we will see Samba at the SoL this window.

I think MON will have taken a cold callculated look at whats needed rather than who is available and any major moves will be in the summer.

In goal his problem is who to sell.

His first choice CB pairing I feel will be O'Shea and Brown with good cover in Bramble, Kilgallon and Turner.

I could see him going for Ned because that would be value, solve the RB problem and give cover again for CB.

Bardo will be LB with cover from Kilgallon and Colback along with Richardson if he stays.

Midfield, IMO, is sorted along with both wings.

The big question is up front, Bendtner and Wickham can both do the big holding player but maybe not at the standard MON wants so a big man may come in.

His fast goal scorers are there with Sess and Campbell and Noble if he gets the chance then we have Ji.

So I dont see a lot of players coming in but I do feel that goal poacher is needed.

    So thats my take.

Most of these players needed replacing about a month ago as I had little or no confidence in any of them!!!! ha!
Amazing what a change of manager and a few results can do!!

The thing about Ned is he will be on big wages, is he worth the extra money?

    imho, no.
Yes he has done ok for us, but pulled up trees?

I loved his goal as much as anyone, that shouldn't cloud our views to over rate his defensive abilities.

I reckon we will see 3 players arrive in January we do need to beef up the squad a bit to cover for injuries.
    priority is forward.

i sort of agree, i don't think we will see any big moves at all, but if a couple of more experienced players are available on the cheap, especially ones o'neill knows, i can see him going for them. someone along the lines of james collins i could see, not too expensive, worked with o'neill before, solid, would give us cover in a key area...

Personally, I don't think there will be too much movement for us this month. Maybe a couple of loanee's in & out.

One thing's for sure however, Marty will want to fully assess what he has at his disposal & by the time the summer transfer window opens he will know who he wants to keep, who he wants out & what he needs to bring in. Of course I include the lads already out on loan.

Maybe he can turn Nos into an England international. LOL.

the truth is none of us has a clue what MON is thinking. Wouldn't we love to know. This is just another compelling element of the mans mystique.

It's like working for Mossad, everything is on a need to know basis.

They could tell us but then they'd have to kill us.

Who knows? Mon will have a short and long term goal for sure but whether or not that actually includes spending any real money in January is a hard one to call. Perhaps its better to wait until august for that.

I think we may see a left footed CD who can also play LB as well, we just dont know what is going to happen with Bramble, if he gets found Guilty the club will have to sack him, even if he doesnt get a custodial sentence, If he gets found not guilty, then I still think he will be away in the summer, but the club have to plan for the worse, i would imagine, and we could do with a LB anyway (who is out there though who can play both with ease, I dont have a bloody clue).

Other than that, I really dont know, we need a striker that can score goals, but we already have 6 if you include Gyan (for next year), and Frazier is due back soon, so do we really need one? Especially an expensive one.
