To be dead honest up until yesterday I was saying if we lose, Kenny should go in the summer.

Well we lost and he got his tactics wrong today but a few things have made me change my mind.

    1. Roy Keane stating how Kenny told him was going to follow him to Ayia Napa and sort him out
    2. He realises now British isn't always best
    3. His involvement with all aspects of the club from 5 a sides with the academy to Hillsborough

Roy Keane a bloke you all hate as former Utd captain etc. but I actually know said something very very true today.
''The players have let Kenny down, if he played bad/got in trouble on or off the field Fergie backed him and it made him give TWICE the effort next week because he appreciated the support.''

Kenny has defended the players all season but our players seem to think ah well the manager isn't mad I'll be as **** next week.

Some players need to take a good hard look at themselves in the summer:

Enrique - started off great has got worse and complacent with it
Downing - quite simply a brutal disgrace
Carroll - finally puts in a performance after 18 months
Reina - hasn't been himself all season
Suarez - owes Kenny more than anyone, Stop the bitching and play the game
Gerrard - is not what he used to be but still thinks he is

Spearing hasn't been mentioned because he is doing his best just his best is nowhere near good enough
    Henderson likewise

    Kenny is to blame.

Many including myself predicted this would happen.

Kenny signed average players. They aren't underperforming (if anything the reverse) they just simply aren't good enough.

Spearing wouldn't look out of place in a Championship or League 1 side he is that average.

You aren't helped by the fact Gerrard has massively declined. The foundations and Kenny's style etc IMO is flawless, but the personnel is poor.

Basically your right on all points ... the only thing I'd take issue with is Kenny is to blame. As I said up til yesterday I was of that opinion but two things spring to mind

The phonecall to Roy so he obviously tells it like it is in private, which leads to a point of yours I agree with ''the personel'' I feel the likes of Downing etc. are of the belief 'I'm at Liverpool I've made it'

Second point is that everyone in football admits Kenny says things in public that aren't always true, so I wonder was he softening it for Comolli by saying every signing was his. We'll find out in the summer because if they were He'll go the same way as Comolli, if they werent then the guy who brought them in (comolli) has been dealt with

Kenny is the only man to fix this. To think that because he is nice about the players to the media, doesn't mean he will not rip them to shreds in the dressing room.

Gerrard - is running out of steam a bit, but is that age and physical condition, or poor morale after this god awful season?
Pepe - I read an article about how we could and should get our old goalkeeping coach back, and that could restore him, if he stays, but I think he maybe off by his own choice.
Enrique - I agree with Hash, but again it could just be the emotionally draining effect of this season that is tainting him, and so I have hope for next season.
Suarez - If you don't already think that he is not doing everything he can for Kenny, you are being harsh on him.
Carroll - I really have hope after today...if only he keeps it up, next week, he might go back to being a lazy ****, if he does, he can go, but if he is finally coming good, I am delighted for the lad.
Spearing - No he will never be the next Gerrard, but the little man does give his all, and I would happily have in as a squad player next season.
Coady & Sterling - need to move up next season, and get more first team action, and be on the bench rather than not be.
Downing & Henderson - I simply don't know. I wish they would come good, but while there is evidence of Hendo getting better in fits and starts, Downing just looks like he has hit his personal ceiling, and is just not for us.
Adam - How can this player be so good with the ball while at Blackpool, but fail so badly here? Is he trying too hard and over-thinking everything? Give him another go as a squad player next season, but he needs to calm down.
Carra - needs to accept that he will be used less and less, as I don't want him to stand in the way of Coates progress

Bottom line is, there is no player I think fans should be "demanding" out of the club, no-one has set the world on fire this season, but no-one should be offered up as a scapegoat. Any player leaves, I will thank them for their efforts, and will wish them every success.

Where is everyone getting the Reina off in the summer stories ?

As bad a season (by his own standards) hes had. He is still in the top 3 keepers in the league. If Pepe ****s off I will be fearful for next season.

He just doesn't look happy, and if you look back over all the statements he has made, it is just an assumption that he will go elsewhere rather then continue to play for an under achieving team. He will be wrong, and be doing a Michael Owen, but I think it is a possibility.

The team mate I see him most unhappy with all season is Enrique , I know the statements etc etc but I still pray you're wrong. Pepe will be a huge loss, bigger than michael , michael whatshisname or fernando traitorelli.

Pepe hasn't even reached his peak yet (statistically speaking for keepers peak)

I hope I'm wrong too, but I would not be shocked if he moved on.

Agree with most of this but the one issue is with Suarez; nobody has given more than this guy all season, running his socks off and trying everything. Granted he owes Kenny for his support but he seems to be doing everything to help him where it matters on the pitch!

You all need to take a deep breath, and calm the **** down.

18 months ago you were on the brink of collapse, had a depleted Squad due to woeful inderinvestment by H&G (remember them?).

To recover from that with two Cup Finals, one Trophy, and back in Europe, it ain't too shabby.

Of course mistakes have been made, Pobody's Nerfect.

Naturally the League form is a disappointment, but come on, any advance on 6th place would have been overachieving, so really how far off par have you been, a few wins?

Perhaps you didn't fully appreciate just hat far off the pace you were, now you do.

You will need 3 things in order to get back to the business end of the Prem

    Money
    Time
    Patience

The last one is down to the Fans. Don't fail your Club.

He doesn't look happy, and lets face it, by his normal standards he is too good not to be playing in the Champions League and winning trophies.

look enrique has gotten dropped for his efforts..... and frankly there is an issue here not of players not trying but with players SIGNED being woeful.

This got rafa the sack and houllier the sack before that. Downing is a thundering disgrace. his efforts yesterday were pathetic. He was totally defeatist form minute one, nervous, negative and just not wanting the ball. That is unacceptable and he should be taken out of things. Henderson and spearing are not good enough for that required level but hey lucas is ok but adam is awful.......

For me we tried only after they got 2 and that was terrible. Carroll demolished terry and actually scored 2. ****e happens.
