I was scanning down the Bristol Rugby Club forum today. I came across a thread where they are organising protests against the planning application for the MEM on the basis that it will harm the Memorial Gates and not be respectful for their 'raison d'etre'. I can't be sure of the dates on the posts, so it may be past history.

are they that stupid? <doh> do they actually read! the mem gates are actually staying put and a special plan is in place for the gates along with a mem garden. much better than it is currently!

they just want to stay at the mem. i get that and they are trying everything they can to make that happen. and even if they get their wish, end of next season they will be gone anyway from the mem as lansdown is taking them to trashton. so whats the point!
