I won't include all the players as for some like Rudd who have only played 1 or 2 games it's not really fair .
If anyone else can be arsed to do the same it may be interesting to compare results.

1... Ruddy he has had little to do and other than the Brentford game he has not looked like England's number 1 . Some of the long range shots he let in were questionable but he is doing ok .
    6/10

2... Martin has been pretty good in my opinion but he seems to have too much influence over Adams as he has come out and said he wants to play Centre back like Scotland.
I would rather see him on the right Cafu was no CB. 7/10

3... Turner has probably been our best performer solid in the air and seems to relish the physical battle of this division, he is slow and poor on the ball but he would be 2nd on the team sheet every game after the keeper. 8/10

4... Whittaker has shown glimpses of great wing back play but all too often gives the ball away cheaply and offers little . 5/10

5... Olllson has been solid since returning from the red card on day 1 and looks like a less good Ashley Cole 7/10

6.. Redmond is potentially our best player but his free kicks corners and general delivery are questionable to say the least. He can skin anyone and leave them for dead but only scoring 1 goals shows his end product ratio up. 7/10

7.. Tettey started off in fine form but lately he struggles to pick out a pass and keep the ball long enough ,however he gets back and puts in a shift defensively. 6/10

8.. Johnson pretty much the same as Tettey but loses the ball even more from dreadful passing. The pirlo comparison is not bandied about much anymore and he needs a rest in my opinion. 5/10

9 Hoolahan started off well but is useless on the left he is our best passer but needed a break so the injury has forced that. 5/10

10.. Grabban was on fire at the start scoring 6 goals very quickly but plays a lot on the wings and is very wasteful and one footed.. Purely on goals scored and points earned he gets a 7/10

    11. Lafferty looks skilful and has pace but can't score and can't tackle a mixed bag of tricks for me. 6/10

12.. Jerome is leading the line well he is powerful and fast but his finishing has let him down ,keepers have kept his score down but our best forward no doubt. 7/10

    13. Murphy will be a city legend one day but still very raw, his skill speed and shot accuracy are there he just needs to utilise them . 8/10

Such is the rigidity of Adams team selection And injuries it is not fair to judge Bennet Hooper The Belgian Howson and Hooiveld but the best player so far to make a cameo is Oneil he is exactly what we have been missing he just got QPR up he is assured composed and brings confidence to the side with a great range of passing. This is based on the last performance which could have been a fluke.

That would not surprise me, seeing as he is the team captain this season. Whether it is too much influence could be argued, after all I am sure NA has enough confidence in what RM says and does, other wise he probably would not be captain.

That's just my take on it Thai I'm not saying it is right it's just my opinion that when we kept conceding early goals we could've put Martin back on the right for the liability Whittaker and tested Cueller or Miquel .
I see you didn't vote ,do you have a stand out player mate?
There is no point in picking holes in my assessments everyone will see it differently but it would be interesting to see who you lot think is the best player so far.
The cat pianist wins it hands down in my opinion .

    Fair comment

Not seen enough to form a fair opinion that covers all the games played <ok>

I didn't intend to pick any holes mate, just thinking out loud as to why RM may appear to have 'enhanced' influence <ok>

I voted Turner as I think he has been closer to his best than most of our players but I do think that it is a sad indictment of this league (and arguably of our management) that we are three points from the top of the division without any of our players playing at their best level. I honestly don't think that we have one player who has been consistently good this season, let alone brilliant. Grab and Jerome have both scored a few but missed an awful lot more. Lafferty the great hope has proven to be more flawed than flawed genius. As the OP states Redmond has a huge amount of ability which generally translates to little end product. Despite having an England international in goal and two Scottish and one Swedish international in the back four we have not been capable of many clean sheets and we seem to have a plethora of good CM's, none of whom are playing particularly well at the minute (I exempt Howson and Gladys from this due to their injuries).

I think we can do an awful lot better and I hope that the players performances improve as the season progresses and they acclimatise to the league and each other and hopefully NA develops a bit more as a manager.

I'd say Tettey has been our best player just ahead of Turner. You criticise him for his lack of picking a killer pass but that isn't what he is in the team to do and we create plenty enough chances at present just our forwards don't take them.

The same response as Thai DM why don't you put your own assessments of the squad down rather than picking holes in MY opinions?.
I made it as simple as i can either do a like for like 1 to 10 or click the little box mate.
Obviously opinions differ thus the theme of this thread/poll.

First person to start their sentence with Grabban is gets a piano cat gif....;)

You don't need to apologise DM it would have been nice to read your views on all the main players but thanks for your contribution.
I would argue that Tettey should be able to pass the ball and not only defend as a holding midfielder but what do i know?.

Only being able to follow on internet reports, with the inherrant bias that people naturally have, I am only able to give the impressions I have formed.
    1 Tetty
    2 Turner
    3 Jerome
    4 Redmond.
The rest seem much of a muchness, though Howson and O'Neill, with game time, could change this assessment.

ruddy - hard to judge as he's not had much to do! could have done better with a couple of goals - 6 out of 10
martin - not keen on him at centre back but has done fairly well - 6.5
turner - player of the season so far - 8
whittaker - not the best of starts but not really being asked to play to his attacking strengths to be fair - 5
olsson - disappointing so far but like whittaker, not playing to his attacking strengths - 5
redmond - improving but slower than i had anticipated. our main attacking threat, even when not at his best and makes defenders nervous. desperately needs a goal to boost confidence - 6.5
tettey - the only player who has challenged turner so far, should be the catalyst of our team. can't understand why the manager doesn't use him properly - 7
johnson - started really brightly but has faded badly. shouldn't be starting games at the moment - 6
hoolahan - played really well early in the season behind the striker, only for the manager to move him out wide and his form went to pot - 6
grabban - enjoyed a good start, scored a few goals, but has never really looked like he could contribute much to the side - 6
lafferty - another who started promisingly but temperament letting him down and injuries haven't helped. should play up front imo - 5
jerome - early goals set the bar high but has faded a little since being partnered with grabban - as a pair they are not compatible - 7
murphy - tremendous impact sub, has grown as a footballer since last season but not quite ready to start every game - 6.5
i'll add howson - only played a couple of times but is a class act at this level and will be player of the season if he plays enough games - not enough game time to give a score

He is the only one to actually rate each player with his own opinion of how they are doing.
I was kind of hoping more of you lot would follow suit or simply click the little box and choose the Star man.
I may not agree with Supers but it's good to see other peoples take on things.
