    To...
    Mr Peter Coates
    Chairman
    Stoke City F.C. 2nd March 2013

    Dear Sir,

My first game as a Stoke supporter was way back in the early 60s. I was then 8 years old and my father brought me a season ticket. Since then I've watched Stoke City at home and away. I did stop attending away games a couple of seasons ago. Not because of Mr Pulis or you good self Mr Coates. I had to for personal reasons.

As much as I appreciate the vast amounts of money you have invested into Stoke City F.C. And I know that like me, you are a real fan since boyhood. It is with regret that I have to inform you that I will not be renewing my season ticket. For the season 2013/14.

My reasons are simple enough and I will do my best to explain without insulting anyone connected with Stoke City F.C.

I have not enjoyed the last 2 seasons Mr Coates because of one man who seem's hell bent on anoying the thousands of loyal, loud and proud Stoke fans. Why is it that with only one win away from home all season either yourself, another member of the board or indeed Mr Pulis seem's too worried about the current league position? We did go 10 games unbeaten then for one of another phrase. "The wheels seem to have well and truly fallen off" since then. what was in my oppinion an excellent position in the Premier League. We we're 8th some 19pts I may be wrong here but it was double figures at worst away from the bottom 3 clubs. In short, we looked in no danger of relegation. In fact, it looked more likely that a top 10 finish would be well within reach, given the number of remaing games.

One win since the new year and a scrappy one vs Reading the is not in my oppinion any where near good enough. Having decided some time ago that I would not renew next season. I now read reports/new clips ect from Mr Pulis and you Sir stating that. " This club is stable and doing well both on and off the pitch" Tony Pulis is quoted as saying. " We are playing better away from home than we did last season" " The player's need the fans" I'm sorry Mr Coates but as much as I love Stoke City F.C. I will not pay for another season ticket until Mr Pulis has left the Club. He is tactically useless, one win all season is simply not good enough in my oppinion. I feel for the fans who still travel to away games and do "Get behind the team" but for what Sir?

Negative team selections, a we have what we hold attitude. Which since promotion seem's from my view at least. Has become the norm, the benchmark for Mr Pulis. I do appreciate where we were some 5/6 seasons ago! And I know it's a tough league but... With a Manager who thinks/talks and in my oppinion shows a total dissregaurd for us, the Stoke fans by his comments. I have seen enough. As much as I love Stoke City F.C. and I thankyou once again for you massive finacial support. I just can't take anymore of the dross which is just one word to describe the majority of or home games this seaon. Liverpool being the only game I really enjoyed in truth. It seem's that Mr Pulis is in not immediate danger of losing his job as Manager.
It hurts me to say this but, there is more chance of Stoke City being dragged into a relegation dogfight than a top 10 finish. That now looks beyond the team in my oppinion. Given the run of bad results recently. For the sake of the Club and the fantastic support, I hope that I am wrong and wish you well for the future.

To receive a reply, even a short note would be fantastic. I sincerely hope that you read this personally and I'm sorry but it's heartbreaking to see this great club which is Stoke City going slowly but surly on a downward spiral. Maybe we will survive Mr Coates? No one more than myself wants to see us do that. But, whilst Mr Pulis is Manager I will not watch our games, pay for a season ticket because of his own negative tactics towards every away game. Despite numerous comments from inside the club that we want to take this club forward. I don't see any improvement personally. We have a very good squad but why is it that player's like Adam, Palacios, and others can not seem to get a regular game? What has happened to Jermaine Pennant? Why is it that we sign good player's.. Palacios, Tuncay I could add to those names but it seem's for some reason. Mr Pulis does not like them therefore does not select them?

Sir, you surly can not ask fans to do any more than they have done since promotion?

Finally I can remember the geat and heady days of the 70s as can many Stoke fans Mr Coates. Why is it that....
With your massive investment finacially we seem, in my oppinion to be going backwards. Not as promised by Mr Pulis taking " This club" forward.
And would you be kind enough to inform Mr Pulis that we are not "This club" but we are STOKE CITY F.C.

I wish you well Mr Coates but surly a change is needed, I refer to Mr Pulis. Thanks for what he has done, I think he's taken Stoke City to his limits. And not the limits that our current squad could achieve.

    Kind Regards

    .......................................................................................................................................................................................................

    Well there you go fella's
A copy of the letter I sent to Mr Coates a whle back! No reply as yet then again, I guess my head knew there would not be on forthcoming.
I was'nt sure to put this on here or not, as I said a while back. " I would be writing to the Chairman" there it is. Not my best letter, far from it but the best I could muster. Views good or bad would be welcome.

Mine also a couple of weeks ago Stokie.

Potts - great stuff, but they are NOT interested.
Just spend your money blindly, don't ask question, don't question the manager.

    Yea right.

Well done Potts. , many , many supporters must feel as you/we feel. As fans we are given a life-sentence with our club , which is true of course for the fans of any club. And when events are perpetrated unnecessarily badly , as now , it hurts us fans greatly ; but we as fans are not allowed to turn our backs on our club. So we have no choice but to suffer , and hope for a brighter future.

Clulis made one comment I picked up on in his attempt at an explanation for how things are. He said "we are developing this club not only on the pitch , but off it also." Well in that case it seems to me that he is spending time , effort , resources etc. on matters off the pitch at the expense of making sure that matters are right on the pitch , because a blind man at the bottom of Hanley-Deep pit at night with the lights off can see that matters ain't right on the pitch.

I was hoping writing this would get it off my chest and make me feel a little better. Well no improvement yet. I think only a win today can help my pain , and in all honesty I cannot see it happening.

So for me lads ( the players ) if any of you are allowed to read not606 , try your best for me.

    Well Nicky
I had my say and I felt better for doing it mate! I've seen another thread this morning say's Let's stay positive!
Well I AM always thinking we can win this game especially at home. For the rest of this season I WILL stay postive because IF WE don't what else is there?

By the way fella's that was the draft copy I spell checked it before posting. Well, Mrs Pott's did anyhow. Maybe I should have just said nothing and let it be.

Today's game.. KTF one and all and for the sake of Stoke City let's for once, " Sing our heads off"

Like it Potts. I doubt you'll get a response. Well not a response that takes any thinking. If you get a response it'll just be a generic template they've probably got on record.
