Maybe Iâm in shock and donât realise it but I am not hurt, angry, upset, TBH calm and relaxed. Iâm sure some of our mates from the north wont believe me, will say Iâm just putting on a brave face, maybe tomorrow anger will come but I donât think so. Of course I wish we had won, wish we had won 5-0 but if we had won, not by 5 but by one goal we would be happy tonight, telling the Newcastle fans how good we are, papering over the cracks. If in 10 days time the club have not done what needs doing, then I may get angry, may get annoyed, may get upset. I know Bruce says we will not be buying, I can only hope its part of the game. IMO we are better than last season, we have better options in defence and midfield, better bottle and better quality, we lost because of flaws we all knew we had, TBH I did not think Gyan was a flaw, today changed my mind. The derby is now behind us and let Newcastle have their day, we have bigger fish to fry. On Tuesday we have a cup game and I will be looking for Bruce to send out a proper team. Next Saturday we have Swansea away, not an easy game but one we should be getting something out of if we really are moving forward. We then have Chelsea, our next home game and its that game that counts, not so much the result but the team we send out. If the club have done their job, i will be a better team than today. I wonder..
Syd I agree with yer how ever if Bruce doesn't sign anyone then it's suicide and he has to go(now I've always been a Bruce supporter) but if we can all see the weaknesses then surely he can, don't think Gyan was fully fit today so will let him have that one. However Bruce should have taken him off and left Larsson on. Been a miserable journey home. However I'll KTF. Sunderland till I die
maybe he can see the weaknesses. but there either isnt any cash in the coffers/and or there just isnt anyone out there to go and get that he thinks will be up to the job in hand. (and worth the money). And maybe its just a smokescreen, we are not out to get anyone, we are done, then bam 2-3 players out of nowhere (we can dream cant we)
I agree, Bruce says over and over again that his job is to ask. Short and Quinn watched today and Quinn knows a lot more than us about footy, he mst see what we see.
I hope so, as I'm starting to go past the thinking about it stage and thinking we were unlucky to the I'm angry stage and I want answers and no more excuses.
1. We are p!ssed off 2. We did not play badly, it was a scrappy typical derby affair that we could have just as easily won 3. We need a win and put a few points on the board 4. Personally, I believe we are a good team and should avoid the relegation zone 5. I think I'll go to the park today, steal a kid's ice-cream and then run away, then all will be well again
