My last post before I'm banned.

If you have read the threads over the last few hours you will know that swimaway brought my mother into his post.

I also asked Swim to PM me so we could talk about his disrespect to my mother, he declined.

Sorry but you are equally at fault. Swim should not mention anyones family but there were no insults directed towards your mother. You then publicly called him out and at in the same thread wanted him banned. If you wish me to come down hard on him I will also have to apply the same rules to you.

I answered Taff and said that I did want him to come down hard on Swim and if that meant a ban for me so be it and asked that he explained my ban on the Cardiff board.

Taff..No need to explain anything, I think it is clear you are both as bad as each other. If you want him banned ask the super-mod. I do not see anything wrong in what he wrote (face value) he contravened a rule and has been warned, you have contravened 2 rules and have been warned.

Taff...No, I just warned him, his motivation was clear and it worked.

As been said too many times now the Swans posters get carte blanche on our board, while we have to walk on broken glass not to upset them.



There was NO reason why swim should have brought my mother into the thread, but it seams it's okay.

I believe that the rules should help Cardiff posters on the Cardiff board.



This is not to be a down on Taff, I know I have not made his life as a Mod easy but if I think the Swans are getting their way I do tell him though it falls on deaf ears.

If you could send this post to the Super mods, I can't find a link to them anywhere.

 

I for one don't think Dai should be banned.

I like to think I get on okay with Swim and usually enjoy his sense of humour however he, not Dai, took this too far and Dai reacted in the way any red blooded male would have.

Guys I think we should give Dai our full support in this and ask Taff (and the Super Mod if it goes that far) to take into account all the facts.

It is one thing to trade personal insults (and most of us have been guilty of that at one time or another) but Swim took it down a further level that was totally unnecessary. I, for one, find Dai's reaction totally understandable.

This all took place in the small hours this morning and I appreciate our mods might not have been around then. If they had I trust they would have stamped on the matter right away and put Swim in his place thus warding off Dai's response.

Contrast that with Iggy's post where he has been banned from the Swans board for putting up a reasonable, well thought out and sensible post which ran in the face of the groundswell of opinion over there.

As ever, they live by there own rules over there. We are generally more tolerant but one of our own gets it in the neck for reacting to a very poor comment by Swim.

Taff, please take this on board and do not give Dai a ban over this.

Dai, Nice one fella, whatever credibility you had previously has gone.
But here you go, put yourself up for mod and take my place. In my opinion you are overly sensitive and should cease posting because you want me to be as myopic as some other mods on other boards.
You were equally to blame by threatening and aggressive responses. It was clear Swim was trying to get a bite and you obliged, now go back and read the offending "question" again.

 

We are constantly invaded on this board, I don't know if we are the same on their board?
Mostly they offer nothing to this board. I find it more than a nuisance having to wade through the drivel (posted by some of them) to get to the posts of interest.
Either keep in line of get off this board is my attitude towards them, they are guests, would you allow some of this behaviour if this was a guest in your house.

 

BFB, The only one threatening Dai with a ban is himself! He has acted just as badly as Swim and one rule for all means he would have to be banned based on his own criteria and the rules in place.

What is there to read other than he brought my Mother into his argument. That should be a no no whatever way he puts it.

Please send this to the super mods and let them sort it.

Point taken Taff and I'm sure we can discuss this reasonably. However, I read the conversation trail and there was no need whatsoever for Swim's comment about Dai's mother. It was totally out of context.

None of us know the background to other's personal lives and most of us will have buttons which if pushed the wrong way could provoke reactions like Dai's. Maybe an apology from Swim early could have nipped this in the bud. However, Swim saw the gap and continued digging at it.

I think a bit of support for Dai is in order and then we can get back to normal realtions - whatever they are.

 

I might be overly sensitive Sheep but I'd like to get redress for my late mother and hope that most people would too.

Ok, bottom line, no one is getting banned. Dai, as I have said I have warned Swim about his comment and I have warned you. I am now closing this thread.
