    That's not fair Wizered because by going first, you get to nominate probably the best three of all time.

    But I'll try to match you in no particular order;

    FA Cup replay 1974 away at Leeds. Donnie Gillies scores and there followed the longest twenty minutes of my football life.

    Coventry City away in May 1977. Nothing, not even City winning the European Cup, could match that day for drama, misery and total elation that followed.

    FA Cup in 1958 at home to Bristol Rovers in round 5. The downs of going 1-3 behind, then the fight back to 3-3 only for Bristol Rovers greatest ever player to nick the winner for 3-4. But what a great local derby. Shame only 39,000 turned up to watch it!

    Yes you are right ciderA, so let's broaden it, any personal, any memories, any connected stories, like I remember the first time I took my daughter, I purchased 3 of the half time draw tickets asked her to pick one for herself and it was the winning ticket, she got £600 and I payed for the bloomin thing, in all the years prior and since I've never won a penny...

    Ah memories....

    Beating Rotherham to get promoted to the championship. Beating palace at home in the PO then our Wembley game. The 2-2 fa cup draw against Middlesbrough is up there as well

    A comical story;
    When my stepson was about eight (early 1970's) he had his first season ticket with me and my father in the Dolman.
    We lived in Ashton Vale so stopped off in Alan Roberts newsagents by the Robins pub to get him a packet of Rolo's. Just inside the gate at the Winterstoke entrance where the programme seller stands, was a very large police horse with bobby on top. My son stood looking up at the horse for what seemed a long time with his Rolo's in his hand.
    The copper smiled at him and said "My horse loves Rolo's" to which stepson said "Would it be alright for me to give him one?"
    Again the copper smiled and winking at me, said "Yes it will be, but I think I should try on first just to make sure it is OK" at which little one handed him a Rolo which the copper chewed for a minute or so and then said "Yes, it'll be alright for the horse" so son put one on the palm of his hand and fed it to the horse.
    The copper and I pissed ourselves laughing at the total innocence of an eight year old boy!

    Keith Fear, put through by a brilliant tackle from The Great Gerry Gow, advances at pace into the Leeds Utd area and draws Cooper before lobbing him exquisitely

    Coventry at Highfield Rd for sheer drama. Clinical finishes from Gow and Gillies, followed by 15 minutes of nerve shredder

    Carle running through the centre of the Hull defence, while 20K Bristolians hold their breath - oh if only !!
    If only he'd known how to shoot

    Cidered whilst I was not around then its nice to hear a City supporter citing a game at Ashton gate vs your local rivals as one of the best, especially as you lost,just for the record it was Geoff Bradford (apparantely our finest player) who scored the winner for Rovers......was it offside? can you remember, sounds like an exciting match I would have liked to have seen not a bad crowd though 39k.I wonder if my grandad saw that match as a youngster, I will ask him and see what he thought of it.

    Classic

    Yes I knew it was Geoff Bradford; I was bang in line in the old "Boy's Enclosure" in front of the Cow Shed and yes I believed then and still do that he was offside. I literally bumped into him the day the Atyeo stand was officially opened; he had two half pints in his hands and I said to him "Yes you were" and he replied "Oh no I wasn't, just too quick for your defence". We both just smiled and moved on.

    Agree with many of the items already posted.

    I guess the 5-4 comeback from 4-2 down would be up there?

    On a personal note - in our first season back in the Championship we went to the Ricoh early on and won 4-0 - I was soooo happy on Broad St in Birmingham that night

    Can't believe no one mentioned beating Bolton 3-0 in the freight rover only to lose the next year on penalties. Also that year we lost out on promotion because we missed a penalty against Swindle if I remember rightly wasn't it the same player who missed. <doh>
