Right..here goes. 1)Is anyone else getting it in the ear from their other halfs for keep playing MOTD over and over again. (I just can't help myself.) 2)Not trying to be an ITK. Just want to share something I heard.... The mayor of Ealing goes to the same church as my mum (St Mary's on acton high st)and was overheard telling the vicar (massive tottenham fan apparantly) that his mate at H&F council told him that it had been aggreed in princable that QPR can move onto the old white city stadium site. No plans submitted yet but basic planning consent has been given. I cannot varify anthing so take it as you wish. I have no reason to doubt any of it. (It's my mum. Of course I trust her.)
After 45 years or so in the Ellerslie my knees and bowels are hoping this is true Having said that we are all hoping that Tony F found out what the Loftus Road factor is all about last Sunday and will direct the architects of any new stadium accordingly.
Thanks North. I hope so QPAAAAAGH. Keep it tight but with bigger stands. I remember being in Ellerslie as a 5yo in 78' and it seemed tight then.
1) My wife thought i watched a lot last year, to say she has noticed the increase would be an understatement... 2) Brilliant! Don't care that it's a rumour, i love these ones. How great wouldn't it be if we beat Chelsea in the race for a new stadium as well By the way, welcome you are
My info is that White City has been nailed on for some time. And that Bernie did the deal. TF will move it forward. It's the way to go. (despite the fact that in my will my ashes were going to be scattered on the pitch at Loftus Road by my children)
Welcome Rules, excellent first post. I agree with everyone above me. I especially emphathise with QPRAAAAAH.
Thanks Norway. If it was Bernie that did the deal, then that's one more thing we have to thank the little twerp for. (spit spit) Mind you if it was Bernie that did the deal you can bet he got good terms on it, he may have been annoying but there's no argueing he a shrewed businessman.
you are not wrong there Rules. maybe he left a covenant that we would erect a statue of him in White City. (it would only be 2 foot tall so why not?)
I'm sure we could errect it in one of the subways under the A40. It woud be like a spot on ones ar$e, annoying but no one would know it was there.
Welcome Quality Passing! I love rumours like this, especially when it's so potentially positive. It's when a rumour is claimed to be a nailed on certainty by ITKs and wind-up merchants that it gets a little tiresome. Anyway, really hope that this is true. I work on the old White City stadium site and I would love the place to be bulldozed for a new improved larger Rangers stadium. If true I think it might take a while though. The plan at the moment is for the BBC and BBC Worldwide to gradually move out over the next 3 years..
Good first post...bought up the important point of a new stadium, and some interesting news...which sounds hopeful. Your other problem I know all too well...I usually watch it once, and then wait until she's out to watch it another few times.
Welcome aboard matie. If the Mrs doesnt like the re runs...DIVORCE HER !!!! You can always find a new wife but you will NEVER find a football club as good as this one
Surprised the chapel of mothership Cerny Berny hadn't leaked this yet.... we seek guidance? ... for then it comes to past and tis written in the scrolls thy lord Welcome Quality Passing Rules
Thanks for the welcome folks. Interesting Taarabt. It could well take that long to impliment any new building plans anyway. You could find your still there when the buldosers come in. Goldhawk. Very funny. Oddball. (Love Kelly's heros btw. Got it on DVD) After some of the abuse he gets, he might just not be bothering. Re. The misses..she's from scotland but I'm slowly getting her to cross over from celtic.
