Dear syd, The result had a familiar ring to it. We had to chop and change again but Iââ¬â¢ve said that too many times. We had a disappointing 20 minutes after taking the lead twice. When you take a 2-1 lead at home you should be good enough to stay on and take the three points. Defensively, weââ¬â¢re all over the place. Thatââ¬â¢s the big situation. We were rock solid there up until the turn of the year and now we have to score three or more goals to win a football match. We have to go back to the training ground, keep working at it and get our defensive shape back. Itââ¬â¢s a big disappointment and weââ¬â¢re up against it at the moment. The only thing we can do is batten down the hatches, keep going and come out fighting. Weââ¬â¢ve got to keep on going. All the best, Steve Bruce
You should get them ballin, we have wasted a day talking about midfiled and it was the defence all the time, I knew Bruce would pinpoint the problem, again. You got to feel for Brum, what with us looking for a reaction, do you think I'm taking the piss?
Bull****. Hand your notice in, wonker. I've swallowed this crap for far too long to believe a god-damn word. Get out, end of. Enough's enough of the same old dung. Hey, how long do you lying bastards at SAFC think you can make ****s of people?
Serious question, will Bruce ever win back the support he appears to have lost? We welcomed his somewhat underwhelming appointment after Quinn's "World Class shortlist" comments. We swallowed his Newcastle roots. We endured THAT spell last season. We (just about) swallowed the 5-1 and flukey, undeserved 1-1. Now this. It seems these things have steadily been chipping away at the level of tolerance for Bruce, soon he'll have nothing left. Like Megson when he was at Bolton. Fans turned against him and it was the end.
He lost the dressing room in January, he's now lost the last remnants of support from fans (myself being one of them), and he could lose his job if we get beat next week. Birmingham away next for us however, Birmingham have two games that week against us at home and Chelsea away no prizes for guessing which one they'll be targeting for points. Maybe Karma if they get SB the sack from us they always say what goes around comes around.
iF he hasn't done the Manley thing by then, a defeat is on the cards looks like the team don't wont to work for him, probably sick of his lies, is this the same bunch of lads who beat Chelsea
He must go,and,if he has any pride,he should do the honourable thing and resign. He has lost the dressing-room and the fans!!!
Good lord! Now, I don't get on here very often, and I was expecting a backlash after the last few weeks. I firmly lay the blame at DB's feet. We sold him because he wanted to leave, but we didn't replace him. Shocker, we've struggled for goals... And im sure the '**** DB we don't need him' party would love to point out that we hadn't scored for two months until yesterday.. And I don't want to rock the boat buttttt... I'm a fan of Bruce, and I think he should stay. I firmly believe he has improved the squad, I think the start of the season shows that he has improved the style of football we play, and finally, after a decade of up-and-downs after those two heady years under Reid, we are close to the European places, and we're being talked of as a European challenging club, as opposed to a yo-yo club. Yes I know a few months is a long time in football. But I challenge anybody to name a manager who would have done better with the run of games we've just had- and, key point, who would actually come to Sunderland to manage our beautiful club. We know it's amazing, but not everybody does.. The run we've had has played Chelsea, Arsenal, City, Spurs and Liverpool. Yes the results against Stoke, Everton and WBA are disappointing, but every club has disappointments in a season. We're sliding down the table, and yes we're 6 points from relegation, but we're also 6 points from 7th- and most people would have snapped your hand off for 7th at the start of the season. Remember that if we did close that gap- which we are more than capable of doing- it would be our joint-best league finish since (I think?!) the 1954/55 season. Bruce could potentially give us our (joint with PR) best league finish for 55 years, and here we are, 6 games from the end of the season, jumping on his back and calling for his head. Have we become barcodes?! Come on lads, let's get behind the team, and the manager!! In Sir Niall we trust, and therefore in SB i trust. I'm not saying he's perfect or that we won't go down. But in my mind, our excellent start to the season counters this horrible streak, and it's all about what happens from here.. But I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, for now. If you've got the faith- keep it
I ahve to say this for him mate................he's getting ****ing good with the cut and paste.......
Bruce is a dead man walking. Once a manager has lost the dressing room AND the fans, it matter very little what the chairman thinks. Quinny may back his man but the fans will start to vote with their feet and wallets and the season ticket sales will not be improved with this regime at all. In fact, I think our overall take up will plummet. Thats when Ellis Short will make the decision for him.
He’s making himself look like a prize prick now……………… he’ll end up with more than the year off work he was after at this rate………….. next club Carlisle United……….if he’s lucky….. (nothing against Carlisle I might add)
