Is that if we ever get promoted to the premiership again in the near future we get some enjoyment like Swansea, Southampton and even Crystal Palace fans have. Instead of being bloody awful like we have been this time and the last in the premiership. Three years out of the last four we have been in the premiership, relegated twice (2nd time probably on sky next week) and the other year finished 17th just staying up. Also not having players who keep telling us they are going to turn it around or a chairman who keeps saying we we will do it keep the faith.
Agree I think us and Burnley are the only two teams who have not had a run of results this season, and our squad cost a lot more than theirs and have a much bigger wage bill. Pathteic really.
Agree, and the centre of interest for QPR fans now moves from the pitch to lawyer's offices and law courts on FFP
I also think from spending without thinking to not spending anything will happen. Tony has shown his intention he waited for Harry to walk so no compensation, he wouldn't fund any January transfers, or pay Sherwood what he wanted. Who knows what team or manager we will have next season.
didn't West Brom have a yo-yo time with Premiership and Championship a few years ago. When Hughes was manager he wasted a lot of money on people who wanted money, but without wanting to play for the shirt. HR did manage to get rid of some, but then did all of his signings give 100%? Charlie and lately Phillips have proved their worth. HR also got Barton playing well again. If we keep Ramsey, let him bring in young hungry players (and the players have played for him) then surely we will have a chance of staying up for a longer period. However, TF has had to consider the potential fine we could have and whether we can get a new training facility and ground. All I know is that if there is an easy way of achieving what you want, and a difficult one, the Rangers way is always the hard way. We will get to the Premiership again, only next time I would like to see sturdy foundations rather than the flimsy one we have right now. And for some of the players, IF we don't get a major fine, I would like to see Charlie stay, Phillips, Fer, Barton and Caulker stay, give a new one year contract to Zamora and Dunne. I would give Clint a new contract but on coaching side of things and try to get players in who are Rangers through and through. Ever the optomist
Let's hope we have some of these clauses in our player's contracts:- Steve Bruce: Hull manager says players' wages will be cut with drop Hull players will take a wage cut of up to 50% if the club is relegated from the Premier League this season, says manager Steve Bruce. Bruce's side are 17th in the Premier League with six games left and out of the relegation zone by just one goal. "The club has a strict policy that if we do get relegated then we don't fall into drastic times," Bruce said. "Everybody concerned takes a huge reduction in salary, and most players take a 40% or 50% reduction." http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/32446860 Also on the new stadium front, let's hope we don't end up like this in League One:- Coventry City to close Ricoh Arena stand for improved atmosphere Coventry City are to close one of their stands at the Ricoh Arena next season in a bid to improve the atmosphere at home games. The League One club's record since returning to the 32,600 all-seater stadium in September has been poor, winning just five times in 21 games. Ex-manager Steven Pressley and current boss Tony Mowbray pinpointed the lack of atmosphere as a telling factor. Falling attendances Coventry City attracted a gate of 27,306 when they hosted Gillingham on their return to the Ricoh Arena in September, helped by cheaper ticket prices. Since then, average attendances have dipped under 10,000, their lowest crowd being 6,885 for the visit of Scunthorpe United in February. please log in to view this image http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/32563206
Do you think it's too much to ask for this crap to be sorted out quickly? Still vaguely hoping that a behind closed door deal has been done with the FL. If lawyers get involved I reckon long term uncertainty.
I'm also hoping they've already got a figure agreed - something in line with the league's revised rules because otherwise we're going to challenge it in the courts and neither side wants that. The biggest issue for me is the owner's commitment to the club, though not sure he'd find any buyers unless he writes off the debt millions.
The club will have taken legal advice. I suspect lawyers are in the background for now. The club's intention is to reduce sanctions to a minimum, ideally none. The League will want to be fair but tough and will be aware of the precedent set in our case, watched closely by other clubs. They will also be aware that if their sanctions against QPR are challenged in the courts or by arbitration, losing or even not fully succeeding will undermine FFP. If there is to be a legal challenge, I would expect both parties to ask the court or arbitrator to grant an expedited hearing. It could, I think, be heard before next championship season, but with appeals would be pushing it. If we are penalised for this coming season and subsequently win on appeal, I suppose it could open the League up to a claim for damages, but that's speculation on my part.
What a ****ing mess. Part of me wants to see the owners heavily punished for being such reckless twats.
I think the league has to be tough for the sake of the other clubs Don't relegated clubs get 10 times the amount of clubs already in te championship? That to me is unfair QPR needs to focus on becoming a football club again rather than an idiots dream and ego rub Always said we are a prime project because of geography plus a fashionable heritage I hope we can re establish that heritage first before we dream of success ... In fact we need to earn that right and restore what QPR is all about Fans moaning about lack of success and certain players will need to look at themselves again IMO I hope we build a side that turns players into household names playing QPR football Before this season I doubt if many on here could name the cherries players or even brentfords now yet both of these clubs not just the cherries could be in the top tier next year The formula of buying the best squads we have had in recent times hasn't worked so I hope when we return to the top flight it will be deserved ... That is the time to bring in quality to strengthen your team if required but posters on here slagging players that we will only dream off are what I have always called infected It's back to school for all of us I said enjoy the ride three years ago and I believed we would grow into a force with calculated strategies I was sucked in and totally wrong to believe the hype I predict a swing that will see many looking at Hughes as a talented manager ... Why? Because he is one The hate should never be lifted for Redknapp IMO he never really joined us in the first place IMO he purchased some great players for us and got us knocking the ball around but it was never going to be more important to him than his own ego and media image ... Same for TF IMO nice bloke but the biggest idiot in sports recent history No stadium just a conflict No training ground just a conflict Money just a conflict and a bill that could risk everything A club with a **** image and no direction and a ruined heritage A club whose own fans have turned into spoilt bad losers
