Signed QPR shirt! This evening, I received confirmation from Shaun Derry that he has posted a fully signed shirt. This shirt will be going to auction on Sunday afternoon/evening at: Phill Dacombe Memorial Doubles Pool Knockout Cup and Family Fun Day Facebook Event Page https://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=107194366046671 My Brother-in-law died of a massive heart attack in May. This was completely unexpected and was a deep shock to us all. Over the following few weeks, the pool team that he played for put forward the idea of a Memorial Cup. This blossomed into a whole day event. This includes the auction, which is in aid of Warwickshire and Northants Air Ambulance. I have already been able to get hold of a SIGNED SCRIPT from "A League Of Their Own" signed by Andy Flintoff, Georgie Thompson, Andy Murray, James Cordon and Jason Manford. This is up for grabs too! How can you miss the opportunity of bidding on this? However, for me, the star of the show is the SIGNED QPR SHIRT! I'm sure that ANY ONE OF YOU would LOVE to have this in your collection. Therefore, if you wish to bid, please send a DM on here or on Twitter before midnight on saturday. All bids that come in will be added to a document, so that anyone can see the bids AFTER the auction. I hope that you can support this, as it is very close to my heart! I cannot say enough about @greypeacock / Shaun Derry, My Lord, Shaun Derry! He is the player that has made this possible for me, and I will always be in his debt. *** My thanks go for the sticky *** I'd also thank you all for your condolences....but bids would be good!!! Whatever you can afford....Whatever price it goes for, it COULD be yours! **** Edit **** I have been told by my Sister, that the auction price will have a starting price of £50. Obviously, should you bid £10,000 (That's a joke, by the way) and other bidding stops at £3500, you would get the shirt at the next incremental! I.E £3600! Hope this is clear....and questions, drop me a line! So please bid your MAXIMUM bid! Of course, the worst thing for me is....On Saturday, I get to hold the shirt and take pictures of it, knowing that I cannot have it! As soon as I have it in my hands, I will post pictures on Twitter as confirmation
i am sorry to hear about your brother in law. but i have to say that was very well played i was hooked this week to see what this was.
Aero, my deepest sympathies on the loss of your bro in law. There seem to be so many reminders as to the fragility of life. I hope he is resting comfy and peaceful wherever he is now. I know I won't be able to make a remotely worthwhile bid for the shirt, but what if we all collectively bid with the aim of donating the shirt to someone deserving and worthy?
Sorry aero, i'm very sorry. I'm going through a very distressful time myself at the moment. But I think Woody has come up with a wonderful idea. I was only thinking the same thing about lack of finances. but together, we can make a real difference. Nice one woodyhoopleson.
Makes all our other ideas seem pretty insignificant now. Condolences to you and you family Aero. Hope you raise as much money as possible and have a sucessful evening. I've got a signed shirt from the last team that was in the Prem 95/96. I will donate to a charity one day when i feel the time is right. Wonder what that is worth.
Sorry to hear of your great loss Aero. Any of us that have been in that situation will understand what you and your family are going through.
Condolences Aero... thoughts are with you, your sister and family on your sudden loss. Good luck with the sale. A great idea and so glad that Shaun and the team were able to help out. Keep us all updated and I hope that your memorial day is well supported on the day.
