By Dafydd Pritchard BBC Wales Sport Cardiff City and Bristol City fought out a frustrating goalless draw as the Severnside Derby failed to ignite. The visitors shaded a first half which ended with a spectacular save from Cardiff goalkeeper David Marshall to deny Jonathan Kodjia. A second half of scarce quality came to life late on, as Elliott Bennett hit the post for Bristol City and Cardiff's Sammy Ameobi shot wide. Cardiff are eighth in the Championship while Bristol City climb up to 20th. These are the comments about to nights match from the BBC Wales match reporter, I must admit I think the guy is a right plum, that's just my opinion and I must have been watching a different game or he works for the Bristol Post..
2 points dropped in my humble opinion. Had Kodjia's header gone anywhere else, he would have scored. Sorry, but Fielding looked like a rank amateur at times again last night, and Flint is also out of his depth. It's a shame but it's true.
Typical lazy journo's, they see a 0-0 and immediatley label it a dull game. Have to agree that Fielding did not look too good last night.
They're a rugby nation over there. They just don't get football. He probably was watching the egg-chasing on SS2.
I can't criticise Fielding for last night, either positively or negatively - he didn't have a shot on target to save!!
In the first half he unnecessarily punched a cross when he should have caught it then appeared to trip over his own, or a team mates feet and fell over, quite comically. He just makes me really nervous every time the ball is near him.
Fielding is a good keeper and trust me as a keeper it's natural to punch or parry the ball when it is difficult to catch and hold. It's better to control where the ball lands than risk dropping it in front of a striker. Sent from my D6603 using Tapatalk
