If Coloccini leaves this month and a replacement of equal stature isnt brought in, they will be relgated this season. They could now lose their best goalscorer (responsible for 48% of their goals) and their best defender inside a month. Could any club just 2 points from the relegation trap door and in such poor form, survive those events successfully? Discuss.
I live in chester kidda. The place has been infested for years since the KK revolution and more plastic can be spotted out and about in my beloved wearside town than I care to discuss. I knock about with a couple as well and have some very good friends that are mags and thats going back 40 years. I dont have any problems with good honest mag supporters, I just dont want to see one of them play for my club ever again thats all and I cant stand soft ****e b&w WUM ****ers. Lol
Want them to stay up but I would chuckle a little if they did go. Work on the banks of the Tyne and a lot of the thick twats still have a go at me as "we are crap" "a poor team" "will go down". Don't seem to be aware of how much **** they are in themselves.
To be honest, any centre half comin in would be an improvement on what we have right now barring colo. But look at our record. Defensively we have been piss poor this season and that's with colo. best he has played was against you lot. I'm not saying we would be better off without him because he is a class above anyone else we have at centre half but he hasn't been playing well this season. Don't want him to go but we are in a position now where San Lorenzo can't afford to buy him, we don't want to sell him but he wants to go. How do you get out of that one when ou have an owner who won't put his hand in his pocket. The board are akating a very thin line. If we stay up it wil be by the skin of our teeth. But don't let our plight distract yourselves from the fact that come 5pm tomorrow we could of swapped positions.
Just read an interview sayin they can give him a good package but can't buy him. They have give Newcastle till the end of the week to terminate his contract or colo to buy himself out if reports are to be believed.
If a player wants to go, he usually goes and for less than his true worth. More hassle keeping an unhappy player. 30 years old so maybe 2 years left at peak and then downwards it (more often than not) goes. Exception is, he gets a pay rise. Supposedly Colo just had one so will that happen???Not seen him for a while. Has he still got that pukey red Bentley. Red seats, red wheels. Worst balls up of a car I have ever seen...
Our chances of beating the drop will be dealt a blow for sure but it depends who else is brought in elsewhere on the park to be able to make a call either way..
I read today that the reports of him handing in a transfer request are untrue, but there's no smoke without fire, as they say. What is it with the north east clubs? 2 of the best supported clubs, not just in England but in Europe. Is it too much to ask for some stability? I'd give my left foot to have boring mid table/ top 10 obscurity each season.
Would love newcastle to be relegated and to carry on that way for the next few seasons, unfortunately there are 3 worse teams in the league than them. Only way I can see them going down is if, as suggested elsewhere, that pardew has lost the dressing room. Even then surely their players are too professional to get themselves relegated. if they have no respect for the manager they must for the fans.
I consider you to be firmly entrenched in that dark, unloved dank And dirty corner of the world, as you are indeed a total and utter ****er. OK?
I was chatting to a couple of Toon fans in The Oxford bar in Edinburgh and they reckon much the same as the OP, if Colo goes then they may as well stitch the Championship badges on their shirts now.
He's ******ed. Coloccini is good, but we can still defend without him. Despite his ability on the ball, he gets caught out by long balls quite often. If we get another CB in, a good one, and we get Cabaye, Ben Arfa and Saylor back from injury, we will stay up and then some. Mid table is my prediction, however that depends on how well we do in Europe. If we go to the later stages, we could end up putting more effort into it.
