Following on from HMT's post on T5P of NUFC's BPL season so far, who is your MVP, who would you least want to leave SJP/SDA in Jan 2012?

[Edit] ...I'm sorry, I went a little over the top - bit of accronymphomaniac...

[Edit [Edit]]...I'm sorry I'll get my coat...

[Edit [Edit [Edit]]] ...Seriously though, even Sir Bobby said every player has a price and we know MA has no problem putting a price on anything, at all! So, lets say in January you log into not606 and see the thread title - "Manchester City big bid for Toon Star" who would you immediately hope they're NOT talking about?

My answer, Tim Krul. At his age he could quite realistically have 15-20 years of top flight football ahead of him. At his current ability he could quite realitically be a Top 5 goalkeeper in the world and on current form he could be the difference between up to 10 Premier League positions in my opinion! Plus, I don't see that we have any viable replacements (Harper is too old, Forster isn't shining in Scotland and Elliot looks fairly poor!)

    Go...

  3. Tiote, Saylor or Krul.

Colo is amazing but nearly 30.

Tiote, Saylor and Krul could be our two biggest future prospects.

Krul will be the player who can offer us the most years of service and could grow to be a better player than anyone else in the squad, including Tiote/Cabaye, so my answer is him.

Colo is the most important player at this moment in time though. If Tiote/Cabaye/Taylor/Krul/Ba are out, then we have adequate cover, but Taylor and Williamson is not a good partnership despite individually working well with Colo, plus they're both injury prone and we dont have a 4th CB.

Tbh ateotd imo the MVP h2b our LB, RT. Iyam, he has fsr really improved his game, esp since he is out of position.

    Seriously though, Krul.

I wouldnt call Tiote and Taylor prospects anymore, both 25 years old now, they'll peak soon.

Without looking to the future and just basing it on how their departure would effect the team due to their current value to the team, then I'd have to say Colo as he is clearly running the show. Without him the defensive side couldn't have functioned aswell as it has.

If you mean value as in value to the club, I'd say Krul because he is the best young keeper in the world and therefore his value is probably ridiculous. But MVP is usually about ability not money!

Colo, Tiote, Saylor, Cabaye & Krul. Jonas, Shola, Sammy, HBA & Ba would be a close second.
